There is no right or wrong way to hold the baby while
feeding, and mom and baby are sure to find their favorite position.

1. Relaxed feeding or reclining position

“Because of the short tongue frenulum, Maisie could only properly latch on to her breasts while lying on her side. The lactation consultant showed me how it's done. In this position, the flow of milk was optimal for my daughter, and it was easier for her to keep the nipple in her mouth. As she got older, she became much better at grabbing her breasts in normal positions,” says Sarah, mother of two from Australia.
6. Relaxed breastfeeding after caesarean section
If you can't find a comfortable position for breastfeeding after caesarean section, 3 try holding the baby on your shoulder in a reclining position – this does not stress the postoperative suture and allows you to breastfeed your baby comfortably. You can also try side feeding.
7. Sitting upright breastfeeding or “koala pose”
When breastfeeding in an upright position or “koala pose”, the baby sits with a straight back and a raised head on the mother's hip. 4 This position can be tried even with a newborn if it is well supported, but it is especially convenient for feeding a grown child who can already sit up by himself. 8. Overhanging position

British model Tamara Ecclestone has expressed her outrage that some of her fans were not enthusiastic about photos she posted on the Internet, in which she breastfeeds her three-year-old daughter. nine0243
On Wednesday, 32-year-old Tamara posted on Instagram a photo of herself breastfeeding her daughter Sophia. The photo sparked a flurry of comments online and debates about how long breastfeeding should continue and whether it is acceptable to demonstrate this process in public.
In her publication, Tamara calls the act of breastfeeding a vivid demonstration of love and raising a child, but at the same time expresses regret that people prefer not to talk about it.
Why was this photo objectionable?
Some of the netizens have questioned the legitimacy of such promotion of breastfeeding, especially for a child of almost three years of age.
"People shouldn't be posting pictures of kids like this all over social media for all to see," wrote an outraged user little_tiddlers.
Another commenter objected to the child's age: "It's normal for babies, but disgusting for two-year-olds." nine0003

In a re-publication, Ecclestone stated that such statements are a very unfortunate and surprising sign of our times.

Some women have come to the defense of photographs published by Ecclestone and taken by renowned Lithuanian photographer Yvette Ivens, who often photographs pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Is it always necessary to breastfeed a baby?
Ecclestone expressed bewilderment at statements that the publication of her photographs was aimed at condemning women who prefer artificial breastfeeding.
"I would never ask a woman when she decided to start formula feeding," she wrote.
But Dr. Ellie Lee, director of the Center for Family Studies at the University of Kent, is not surprised by such remarks. nine0003
