- ▢ 1 cup whole wheat flour
- ▢ 1/4 cup unsalted butter (regular or plant-based, softened at room temperature)
- ▢ 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ▢ 1/4 cup mashed roasted sweet potato
- ▢ 1/4 cup unsweetened plant milk (oat, almond, rice, soy)
- ▢ 1 egg yolk (optional)
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Add the flour, butter, and baking powder to a medium bowl. Mix together with a fork (or clean hands) to form crumbs.
Add the sweet potato and milk and use a spoon to mix together. The batter will be thick.

(Age: from 2 years old)
This sponge cake can be made for any children's party, and not only. This recipe belongs to the section of baby food - baby cakes.
It does not take long, but it looks very impressive. Kids love to get to know different animals. Come up with some kind of story, or a fairy tale about a hare and your child will remember this biscuit cake.
You can try this biscuit cake after 2 years.
You will need for sponge cake:
- 6 tbsp. l. sugar (preferably fructose),
- 6 tbsp. l. full flour,
- 6 eggs
- vanillin on the tip of a knife.
You will need to cream and decorate the biscuit cake:
- 250 g homemade yoghurt (thick) eye candies
- 1 pack of white coconut
- powdered sugar
- 1 nose candy
- marmalade vermicelli
- cake topping (colored and shiny)
Sponge cake recipe:
1. Put condensed milk on cream for 4 hours. Let's start cooking our biscuit cake . Its basis will be classic biscuit . First, separate the whites from the yolks. We will beat only the whites at the lowest speed of the mixer. Now slowly, add one tablespoon of sugar to the proteins and add vanilla at the end.
2. If the whites have become white and rather dense mass, add the yolks in a spoon, while continuing to beat everything with a mixer.
3. After the eggs have been beaten, we begin to sift flour through a strainer to enrich it with oxygen. Now very carefully knead the mass with a spoon in the direction from bottom to top.
4. Divide the finished dough in half and pour into greased moulds. We put our forms in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 30 minutes. The main rule when baking a classic biscuit is that you cannot open the oven door - otherwise our biscuit will fall off. It is better to put the biscuit in the oven and leave the kitchen for 20 minutes.
5. When the time is right, carefully remove the biscuits from the mold and invert onto plates and let cool. So, we baked two round biscuits, leave one whole. This will be the “muzzle” of our hare
6. The second cake, using a paper stencil, I do by hand, cut into three parts, as you can see in my photo. We got two ovals, they will be “ears”, the remaining middle piece will be a bow for the “bunny”.
7. Cut each part in the middle to saturate with cream.
8. Prepare the cream. Mix yogurt and boiled condensed milk.
9. Lubricate all parts well with cream.
10. Now we collect our sponge cake . First, lay out the round cake, as I said as the "muzzle" of the hare. Put the ears on top of the round cake, and put the remaining piece down under the “muzzle” of the hare like a bow. Top with the rest of the cream as well.
11. Now decorate biscuit cake Bunny. Sprinkle the entire surface of the cake with coconut flakes and powdered sugar.
12. Two gummies will be the “eyes” of the hare. Instead of a nose, put a toffee candy.
13. Make a mustache and a mouth from the marmalade vermicelli.
14. Decorate the surface of the cake with different sprinkles, as your fantasy tells. Biscuit cake "Bunny" is ready. Enjoy your meal!
Baby porridge biscuit. Baby Formula Baking Recipes
It turns out that such a necessary product for babies as milk formula can be useful in the kitchen of any housewife.
Moreover, in terms of its composition, it is one of the most useful products created by science.
Mother's milk replacer is sometimes a must, because in today's stressful life, some moms don't have enough food for their beloved baby. This is where infant formula comes to the rescue, which comes in different types (lactose-free, goat's milk, fruit, fortified, and so on) and from various brands of manufacturers that differ both in quality and in composition.
Often, this product costs a lot of money, because dad and mom do not feel sorry for anything for a newborn child.
Composition of infant formula is the concentration of useful substances, trace elements, vitamins, light fats and carbohydrates, as well as protein that does not cause allergic reactions. This product is made with special care, as it is eaten by the smallest children who are just starting their life journey.
The best baby food brands always include ingredients such as:
- taurine is a trace element that helps break down fats;
- calcium - simply necessary for a growing body, also preventing rickets and other possible childhood diseases;
- vitamin D3 - helps calcium to be better absorbed, and also develops vision;
- easily digestible fats and carbohydrates - they should be no more than 2-3%, but must be present;
- L-carotene can also be one of the components, which also affects the breakdown of fats by the child's body and the overall development of the nervous system and brain;
- vitamins of group B, as well as A, E, PP - the baby should receive a balanced composition of these elements for proper and full development;
- Protein is the main ingredient in any infant formula, a non-allergic element composed of 60% whey elements and 40% casein.
If you want to get not only a tasty, but also an infinitely healthy meal for the whole family, you should approach the choice of infant formula with all responsibility, since, unfortunately, some manufacturers neglect the rules for manufacturing this product: there are often cases when This product contains undesirable food additives.
So, what are the best infant formulas ? A quality product for babies will not contain any dyes or food additives. In the composition indicated on the package, only natural ingredients should be present, including vitamins, trace elements (almost always calcium and taurine), easily digestible fats and hypoallergenic protein.
If in the list of components you saw elements with complex, incomprehensible names, then most likely the manufacturer hides unacceptable additives under them. It is also desirable that there is no palm oil in baby food, the negative impact of which has already been proven by multiple studies.
Having chosen the optimal composition of the mixture, you can safely start cooking new dishes, and they are ideal for children who are just starting to introduce complementary foods. This food may already be familiar to them (with artificial feeding) or similar in composition to mother's milk.
No matter how surprising it may sound, this product can be used to quickly and easily prepare real sweets. This culinary masterpiece will be appreciated not only by the younger members of the family, but also by adults.
Infant formula candy recipe is very simple - you won't have to bake anything and cook for a long time.
The easiest way to prepare them is as follows:
- Take two 50 gram cups of ice cream.
- Mix infant formula and ice cream until fairly thick.
- Prepare the chocolate or wafer topping in advance: instant cocoa powder or crushed wafers (walnuts are also suitable).
- After wetting your hands in water so that the mass does not stick to them, make balls of the same size.
- Dip each in the sprinkles, place on a plate or other dish and place in the freezer for a couple of hours until completely set.
Truffles candy can be safely called another exquisite and certainly tasty delicacy for the sweet tooth from infant formula. The recipe also does not require you to invest money, effort or time.

4. Gently melt the butter without boiling it.
5. Combine egg mixture, water and melted butter. Mix well.
6. Pour in soda slaked with vinegar. Mix thoroughly.
7. Now add porridge to the dough. At first it will seem that there is too little liquid in the dough, but soon all the porridge will be saturated with water and the dough will turn out wonderful. Just keep stirring and you'll see.
8. Now leave the dough for 20 minutes so that the porridge swells well. At the end, add flour and knead the dough.
