Big brand baby foods are heavily processed and use extreme heat, which kills off the bad stuff, along with a lot of the good stuff. That’s how they last for up to 2 years on a shelf unrefrigerated. They often contain preservatives and other nasties. Not the best nutrition for our super fast growing little ones.
Omami is Soil Association Organic Certified and we never use any concentrates, preservatives or fillers in our blends. Just real ingredients, made like you would at home.
We started Omami so parents everywhere can feed their kids fresh, high quality, healthy organic meals, easily. We are proud to always put our babies first.
-
We've made sure each one of our boxes contains a nice variety of meals to get your baby's taste buds tingling and expose them to a good variety of nutrients.
If you want to request more or less of certain blends, get in touch with our team on [email protected] and we'd be glad to help.
-
Our pots stay fridge fresh for 14 days and can be frozen for one month. We use cold-press our purées to keep them fresh, safe and nutrient-dense without the use of any nasties or extreme heat.
-
Your baby's health is our number 1 priority.
We operate under strict standards for manufacturing baby foods, adhering to UK laws and also go above and beyond.
We are SALSA (Safe and Local Supplier Approval) certified and are regulated by the Food Standards Agency.
We are also Good Manufacturers Practice trained & certified and our staff undergo training for Food Safety Certification.
We perform third-party lab tests on our meals to be extra sure that our food is safe and of the highest quality for you and your little one.
-
We understand it can be disheartening when your baby rejects their food. The key is to be patient and not to give up - on average, a baby needs to taste a new food up to 15 times before familiarising with it and developing a taste for it. It’s all part of training their palate and it's perfectly normal.
Expert tip? Try mixing a new flavor in with one they are used to and help your baby ease their way to trying new things.
-
Of course! We want to create a better environment for our little one's to enjoy.
All our food-grade pots are home recyclable and are BPA-free, Phthalate-free and free of harmful toxins.
We don't use pouches, because they are some of the biggest culprits of non recyclable waste.
Our cool delivery boxes are made from recycled materials and are also 100% recyclable.
-
Just like our meals, we like to make things easy! It's super simple to modify your order, skip a delivery or cancel at any time. We are always on hand to help you if you need support.
-
We don't use any of the 14 major allergens in our foods, nor do we store them onsite.
Although we take the utmost care, we cannot guarantee zero traces (something we are working on) so if your little one suffers from severe allergies and you need some advice on whether we are right for you, please feel free to reach out to us.

trends in baby food packaging
Baby food belongs to the essentials - it is supplied in special packaging that meets many requirements: the safety of the product and its taste, detailed information about the composition and possible allergic reactions. When developing the design and functionality of packaging, it is important to take into account the interests of the target audience - these are parents and children from the age of one who can already express their reactions and attitudes towards the product. Nikolay Artamonov, founder and creative director of Otlichnosti, considered several approaches to category design.
Snacks
Minimalist bright and light packages with salivary design can be considered a classic approach. Communication is aimed at basic instincts - "Your child will be very tasty." Unusual flavor combinations also stimulate the desire to try the product.
Suitable for consumers of all ages, Applesauce Adventures Organic Applesauce comes in three flavors: Spicy Apple, Straight from the Tree, and Sweet as Apple Pie. Applesauce is packaged in a squeezable bag, which allows you to eat it right away or squeeze it into a separate container.
The Applesauce Adventures
Cherub Food jars are packed with a focus on aesthetics, with each plump glass jar featuring a minimalist label featuring a cartoon mouth with a tongue.
Cherub Food, Me + James Studio
With their simple, modern look, Cherub Food jars are eye-catching and show that only the most essential ingredients are used in the formula. Designed by Me + James Studio.

Healthy products for an anxious audience
Parents are the most anxious target audience. The most important indicator for them is the usefulness of the products that they give to their babies.
Windows and fully transparent packaging detailing the ingredients and how they are processed are used by baby food designers to convey core brand values.
UK startup Keep It Real Baby makes nutritious, clean, organic baby food that is as close to homemade as possible. The Love Mondays packaging design is inspired by the core values of the brand: be honest, stay playful, stay inclusive, and keep inspiring.
Inspired by children's books, the designers hand-created textures and paper-cut illustrations that perfectly fit the idea of fair and fun food.
Horizon is a tribute to farm to fork with the highest quality ingredients. All this is balanced with a very clean and modern branding and color coding to make it stand out on the shelf as much as possible.
Functional bonuses
When the product itself is already useful and tasty, the functional advantages of packaging of a particular brand come into play. Convenient doypacks for feeding outside the home, mini-spoons, tight lids in case the child has not finished eating, as well as kitchen “gadgets” for making mashed potatoes on your own.
Little Spoon first introduced itself to parents as a healthy baby food brand that produces baby food formulas for different ages that prioritize freshness. With subscription and delivery options, parents choose the meal plan that best suits their schedule and their child's needs, as well as fresh, organic baby food once every two weeks.
Little Spoon
The brand has also taken care to include a small ergonomic spoon in each package, as the company believes it is important for children to learn to eat on their own and develop healthy eating habits from an early age.
Baby Garden Glaciers freezer trays from Cardboard Helicopter Product Design allow parents to save time and waste when preparing food.
Baby Garden Glaciers, Cardboard Helicopter Product Design
Each tray comes with six separate baby food containers that parents can store their baby food in advance. On the lids of these capsules, you can make inscriptions with markers - to comply with the shelf life.
Baby food manufacturer Plum Organics solved the problem of feeding children on the road - for this, the company turned to the IDEO agency.
Plum Organics, IDEO
The designers have developed transparent containers - a resealable lid makes it easy for parents to store food between feedings, and the container has a feature that allows them to keep track of the day they opened the package to make sure they don't throw away the unspoiled food food.
The new pack is easy and safe to stack and has a recess in the lid for parents to place a spoon, making feeding neat and hygienic.
Plum Organics, IDEO
Creative for kids and their moms
Today's parents are yesterday's millennials. In addition to the benefits, taste, environmental friendliness and functionality of the packaging, they appreciate the creative approach in design, which is unusual for the category.
The Latin Baby is a Florida-based brand that caters to the needs and preferences of millennial parents. Unlike classic brands that have been on the market for more than a year, the company uses superfood ingredients and decorative packaging.
The Latin Baby
The Latin Baby is designed with young Hispanic customers in mind. The brand can reach out to consumers using ingredients such as calabash, which are traditionally used in Latin American cuisine. The brand also eschews sugar and sweet fruits and opts for zesty spices instead.
Constructors
Startup Raised Real offers a subscription to baby food and a machine for making it. All food is organic and the menu is curated by one of the co-founders, who holds a PhD in nutrition and is a Registered Dietitian.
Raised Real / Behance
This is a pre-portioned meal that does not come pre-mixed. Instead, the company offers a machine that first steams food and then mixes it.
As we have seen from the selection of cases, baby food may be preferred by the target audience not only because of the price category and the compliance of the basic ingredients. Functionality and playfulness, demonstration of product freshness, the need for aesthetics - these tasks are successfully implemented with the help of packaging design.

Each of us can attest to how strongly the first complementary foods, meals in kindergartens or schools influence the nutritional preferences and health of children throughout their lives. Scientific studies of recent years leave no doubt that children should eat, if possible, only healthy foods, because food directly affects the physical and psychological development of children.
For example, in Carschalon, outside London, renowned chef Jem Oliver's School Food for Life program has proven that eating well and living a healthy lifestyle is the key to improved learning outcomes and behavior. Thanks to proper nutrition, schoolchildren's performance in learning has improved: they successfully passed exams in 2010. 90% of graduates, in 2002 this figure was 32%, when the emphasis on proper nutrition was not made.
Schools and kindergartens in Italy, Great Britain, Sweden, Austria, France call themselves ecological, they switched to organic food. Research from these countries confirms that children who regularly consume meals prepared from organic products have better concentration, do not suffer from hyperactivity, are more calm and attentive in class ...
But, unfortunately, there are no kindergartens and schools related to organic in Ukraine yet. Therefore, it is necessary to feed children with useful healthy organic products at home.
When choosing food products, it is necessary to give preference to labeled products belonging to the organic category. Those. those that are produced without the use of chemicals, pesticides, fertilizers, grown naturally away from industrial areas and highways.
In organic farming, producers use biological and physical methods to control pests - natural enemies, ultrasound, traps. In the process of cultivation, many operations are carried out manually. “Ancient” technologies are often used: for example, they grind flour on stone millstones. An example is organic millstone whole grain flour TM Zhmenka. All this ultimately makes organic products expensive, but health is worth it!
Organic food is healthier
Organic product is not coated with pesticide cocktail. On average, 20-30 chemical toxic substances remain on the peel of even a well-washed inorganic apple. With an apple, they enter our body, and, what is most unpleasant, into the bodies of our children.
Fresh organic produce has 50% more vitamins, nutrients, enzymes and micronutrients than an equivalent chemically grown product. The difference is obvious.
Compare the taste of organic and non-organic apple, and you will notice that the organic apple is more juicy, fragrant, tasty.
What is the main organic product in the diet?
Switching to a 100% organic diet is quite difficult, so you need to choose the main foods that will provide your child's body with all the necessary and useful substances.
Everyone knows that cereals are the basis of proper nutrition, they are the basis of the nutrition pyramid and contain whole grains. Such products are an excellent source of B vitamins, fiber and other valuable trace elements.
The most useful of these products are buckwheat, barley, corn, wheat, millet and other cereals. All these organic cereals are presented under the trademark "Zhmenka", which was the first to introduce the culture of consumption of organic products in Ukraine.
Zhmenka TM organic cereals pass all stages of testing for compliance with the highest quality criteria of IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture), and the Swiss organization IMO certifies the land, production, cultivation technologies of organic grains and the organic cereals themselves.
