Nursing Bracelet, baby feeding reminder.

New baby care.

"I'm so glad you invented these nursing bracelets. I'm nursing my second kid and wonderfully did have success (due to your product)! While pregnant with my first child I kept thinking about how much I'd love to have something like this - thank you for doing it! I'm telling everyone I know and getting one of these for every new (and returning) breast feeding mom."
Sara

"I received my breastfeeding bracelet as a gift when I had my third child and I am thrilled! It has been an answer to my sanity! It's a no-hassle way to keep track of feeding. I love the color (mine's blue) & it's very soft against my skin. Definitely the best invention ever made! My only question is why wasn't it invented SOONER!?"

Denise, Arizona
"I love this product! I use it all the time. I've even use it to count how many glasses of water I've drank! I love how discreet they are when I wear it. It doesn't scream, 'I'm a nursing mom!'. How smart!"
Hailey, Nevada

"I am a mother of a 13 month old Gavin, still breastfeeds for now, and how I would've loved this product a year ago! I did ok with a hair tie around my wrist but what a great idea the Milk Band is!! My sister-in-law is 3 months pregnant and I will certainly be placing an order for her as a gift. She is determined to nurse her baby as she was witness to the great experience I had. Way to go Jenny!! I wish you much success with this endeavor. God bless you and your family!!"

Heather F., Alabama
"My son was only 3 days old and I was already having difficulty remembering which side I last fed from. My friend brought over one of your breast feeding bracelets and I haven't had any troubles since! It's a life saver!"

Katie, California

"My wife and I are expecting our first child in June. We had to undergo IVF treatments, which require numerous intramuscular injections, usually in the tush. We always forgot which cheek to do each evening! We didn't have a Milk Band, but I imagine that would have helped! Great product!"
Dan
Dear Milk Bands,
I just wanted to say thanks! I found your product by accident on the Internet, one month after my twins (Amelia and Heath) were born. I was tired of using the safety pin method to remember which twin would go on which side next and trying to remember who the safety pin represented! I promptly ordered a pink band and a blue band and I've never looked back! They easily helped me keep track of which twin would nurse on my left or right breast next and the last time they ate. No more guesswork. Thanks so much for making the last six months easier on me. I never knew that something so little could make such a big difference in my breastfeeding experience. I've already purchased one of your breast feeding bracelets for a cousin who is due any day now and I plan to recommend your product to every nursing mother I know! I'm getting ready to wean these little guys and I know I'll miss wearing them, but I'll keep them just in case I ever need them again!

Heather, Georgia

"I am just extremely satisfied with the nursing bracelet. . Before having it, I suffered from lopsidedness and I never could track my baby's feedings. After using it, nursing my baby has became more pleasant than ever. Best Regards"
Gabriela, Florida

"I bought a Milk Band from a local lactation consultant when my daughter was 8 days old because, due to my profound sleep exhaustion, I just couldn't remember what side I last nursed on. The first time using it, I knew it was going to be a life saver. It has been! My daughter is now a little over 3 months old and I haven't taken it off yet and I don't have any plans to do so any time soon. I will forever recommend your breastfeeding bracelet to my pregnant friends as I love it and can't imagine going even one day without it!"

Nursing mother's bracelet

The proposed utility model relates to haberdashery, in particular, to devices used by nursing mothers to indicate the time of the next feeding of the child and determine the breast with which they should feed him. Breastfeeding bracelet and the slider placed on it are made of elastic material. Numbers from 1 to 12 are applied on the outer side of the bracelet. The slider is placed on the bracelet with the possibility of its movement along the length of the bracelet and is provided on the outside with a window through which the numbers printed on the outer side of the bracelet are visible, opposite which the slider is installed. As an option, a bracelet with a slider placed on it is proposed, the inner and outer sides of which can be interchanged by turning them inside out to the other side. On both sides of the bracelet there are numbers from 1 to 12, and the slider is placed on the bracelet with the possibility of its movement along the length of the bracelet and is provided on both sides with windows through which the numbers on the outer side of the bracelet are visible, opposite which the slider is installed. The bracelet is simple and easy to use, with its help, a nursing mother knows the time of the next feeding of the child and which breast she will need to feed him. At the same time, it is convenient to use the bracelet not only at home, but also on a walk and while in transport. nine0005

The proposed utility model relates to haberdashery, in particular, to devices used by nursing mothers to indicate the time of the next feeding of the child and determine the breast with which they should feed him.

It is known that from the first days of his life, a child must be gradually accustomed to a certain feeding schedule by his mother, while the well-being of the child largely depends on the mother's compliance with this schedule. And the well-being of the nursing mother herself and the quality of mother's milk also depend on the timely change of the breast with which she fed the child (Benjamin Spock, “The Child and Care for Him”, Minsk, Potpourri LLC, 2008, pp. 74-96; V.A. Alexandrova, "Encyclopedia of a Young Mother", St. Petersburg, Publishing House of St. Petersburg MAPO, CJSC "HOKA", 2008, pp. 118-119).

To follow the order of feeding a child with one or another breast, breastfeeding women use pins, fastening them on clothes from one side to the other in the area of the corresponding breast. For the same purpose, nursing women use ordinary bracelets, which they put on in turn either on the left or on the right hand, or simply keep notes in diaries or write notes to themselves, in which they also make notes about the time of the next feeding. nine0005

All this is inconvenient and does not provide nursing mothers with an easy and convenient reminder of when to breastfeed again and with what breast. Moreover, it is inconvenient to use such reminders while walking or while in transport.

The technical problem, which the proposed utility model is aimed at, is the creation of a simple and easy-to-use device with which a nursing mother could know the time of the next feeding and which breast she needs to feed her child. At the same time, this device should be such that it can be conveniently used both at home and on a walk or while in transport. nine0005

The task was solved by creating a device in the form of a bracelet made of elastic material put on the arm with a slider placed on it. Around the circumference of the bracelet on its outer side there are numbers from 1 to 12. These numbers mean the time of the next feeding of the child. The slider is placed on the bracelet with the possibility of its movement along the circumference of the bracelet. On the outer side of the slider there is a window, which can have a rectangular, cylindrical or other shape. The slider window is made with dimensions that allow you to clearly see the numbers on the bracelet. Preferred, based on experimental verification, are bracelets that are made of silicone and have a width of 15 mm, a circumference of (200-220) mm, a thickness of (2.5-5) mm, a height of numbers (5-6) mm, with In this case, the slider is made (17-20) mm wide, (12-15) mm long, with windows in the slider 10 mm wide and 8 mm high. nine0005

The lactating mother's bracelet as a utility model is used as follows. The breastfeeding mother puts the bracelet on the hand corresponding to the breast with which she will have to feed the child. At the same time, she sets the time for the next feeding of the child by moving the slider along the bracelet and setting it in a position in which numbers indicating the appointed time are visible in the slider window. After the breastfeeding mother feeds the child at the time set by her, the mother removes the bracelet from the left or right hand corresponding to the left or right breast with which the mother has already fed the child. Then she puts the bracelet on the other hand, which corresponds to the breast with which the mother will have to feed the child, and sets the time of the next feeding of the child by moving the slider along the bracelet. nine0005

As an option, a breastfeeding mother's bracelet is available, which has the ability to interchange its inner and outer sides by turning the bracelet inside out. At the same time, on one side of the bracelet the word "RIGHT" is applied, and on the other side of the bracelet the word "LEFT". It is possible to apply the same words in English, that is, "RIGHT" and "LEFT". The numbers from 1 to 12 for this version of the bracelet are printed on both sides. The windows on the slider are made in the same way on its two sides. The preferred dimensions of the nursing mother's bracelet for this option are the same as for the original version of the proposed utility model. nine0005

Breastfeeding mothers use this version of the bracelet in the following way.

Breastfeeding mother wears a bracelet on either hand. At the same time, the inscription on its outer side must correspond to the breast with which it should feed the child during the next feeding. After that, the nursing mother sets the time for the next feeding of the child by moving the slider along the bracelet and setting it in a position in which numbers indicating the appointed time are visible in the slider window. nine0005

After feeding the baby at the appointed time, the breastfeeding mother turns the bracelet inside out. At the same time, the new inscription on the outer side of the bracelet will correspond to a different breast, with which she will have to feed the child during his next feeding. At the same time, the nursing mother sets the time for the next feeding of the child by moving the slider along the bracelet and setting it to a position in which numbers will be visible in the slider window, indicating the new scheduled time for feeding the child. After feeding the child at the appointed time, the nursing mother again turns the bracelet to the other side. At the same time, the new inscription on the outer side of the bracelet will correspond to a different breast, with which she will have to feed the child during his next feeding. And all subsequent actions are repeated again. nine0005

An experimental test of the convenience of using the options of the proposed bracelet for a nursing mother confirmed that the bracelet is really simple and easy to use, with its help, a nursing mother knows the time of the next feeding of the child and which breast she will need to feed him. At the same time, the proposed bracelet is convenient to use not only at home, but also on a walk and while in transport.
