  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 (4 ounce) jars plum baby food (since plum baby food is hard to find, I like substituting 2 - 4oz containers of cinnamon apple sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped

directions

  • Preheat oven to 325.
  • Mix all ingredients together.
  • Grease and flour your Bundt Pan.
  • Bake for 1 hour.
  • Cool in pan for 5 minutes before turning onto a cooling rack.

This is a cake that most people will be tasting for the first time. It makes for a nice dessert over the holidays, and may bring  "visions of sugar plums"  dancing in the heads of little tykes.


Plum Cake Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves

  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 2 small jars plum baby food

  • 3 eggs, beaten

  • 1 cup vegetable oil

  • confectioner's sugar


How to make Plum Cake:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Sift dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside.

  3. Add in plums, cooking oil and eggs. Blend well.

  4. Pour into a greased Bundt pan.

  5. Bake for one hour, or until cake springs back to the touch.

  6. Sprinkle confectioner's sugar on top.

Ingredients:
  • Sugar - 250 g
  • Egg - 3 pcs.
  • Flour - 260 g
  • Dough baking powder - 1.5 tsp
  • Plum - 15 pcs.
  • Cinnamon - 3 tbsp.
  • Butter - 180 g

Preparation: Step 1

  • Turn on the oven to 180 degrees. Prepare products. The oil should be at room temperature.

  • Step 2

    Add eggs, sugar and butter to a bowl. Beat well with a whisk. If convenient, use a mixer.

  • Step 3

    In a separate bowl, mix flour and baking powder. Add a pinch of salt. Mix dry and liquid ingredients until smooth.

  • Step 4

    Rinse the plum well. Remove the pit and cut into 4 pieces.

    Line a baking dish with parchment paper (diameter 24 cm). Put our dough in the form.

    Place the plum cut side up on top. Mix 3 tbsp. sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle this mixture over the top of the pie.

  • Step 5

    Place the pie in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 50 minutes.

    Remove the finished cake from the oven. Leave to cool in the form.

  • Step 6

    Plum cake is ready. Bon appetit!
