The Bottom Line
You’ll no doubt have lots of fun planning and serving the food for the mom-to-be’s baby shower.
If you’ve decided to prepare most of the food, round up some of the mom-to-be’s friends and family to help. Make it easier on yourself by using some store-bought elements, too. You could also make some of what’s on offer but ask each guest to bring a small plate to share.
Set up food and dessert tables so that guests can serve themselves buffet style, and stick to foods that aren’t too messy to eat while standing up and mingling.
If you have a set theme, you can tie the food into the theme by using colored frosting, or by piping lettering onto foods like “Oh, Baby!” Cookie cutters are your friend! Cut everything from brownies to sandwiches into shapes that match the theme. You can also connect the food and drinks to the theme based on the colors you choose for the straws, napkins, and cupcake liners.
Having a chocolate fondue fountain or a soda bar can create an interactive element that guests will love.
Have fun with it! Your options are endless, and you might find you really get into it once you get started. And, always remember, no matter what food and drinks you serve, your guests — especially the guest of honor — will really appreciate your efforts and thoughtfulness.

Since 1997, all children in the country have had access to free school meals. They consist of a hot dish, salad bar, bread and drinks, plus vegetarian options available to all. Desserts and sodas are not served, and pizza and deep-fried items have been removed from the menu in recent years. They have been replaced by healthy and sustainable food options: stew or vegetables with potatoes, pasta with sauce, etc. And, of course, knäckebröd, the famous bran rye crispbread.

America is a country known for its abundance of junk food and fast food outlets on every corner. In US Schools The National School Lunch Program provides low-cost or free school meals to 31 million students in more than 100,000 schools. However, tight budgets have meant that the lunches served in some (but not all) schools in the United States are prepared from processed foods and do not contain sufficient amounts of fresh fruits and vegetables. These meals often look like chicken nuggets with fries, sausage and bun, green peas, and for dessert, chocolate chip cookies or jelly.

3 Healthy Nutrition Strategies for Swimmers
09/09/2020
Nutrition is an important part of the daily activities of athletes. Even in ancient Greece they said: "We are what we eat." For swimmers, this means: "As we eat, so we swim." No wonder your coach probably tried more than once or twice to convey to you the idea of the paramount importance of a healthy diet. It has a positive effect on your daily training process, makes you less vulnerable to illness and injury, helps you prepare for peak performance and recover from competition.
Still not sure if you can establish a healthy diet? Here are three proven and actionable strategies to help you build the right habits this season.
1. Plan and prepare meals days in advance
An effective way to improve your diet is to plan your menu a few days in advance and cook your own meals according to the plan. Of course, the idea of barricading yourself in the kitchen and cooking a lot of dishes at once does not look attractive at first, but the benefits of this are immeasurable.
1) First, you and you alone determine and control your diet. Speak with a sports nutritionist and ask them to help you create a balanced nutrition plan based on your physical activity and goals.
2) Secondly, you have a clear meal plan that will not allow you to follow your desires and eat something tasty, but harmful.
3) And thirdly, planning and preparing several meals at once saves you time and effort. The next time you come home after a hard workout, you open the refrigerator and just warm up what you cooked for yourself the day before, you will definitely thank yourself.
2. cleanse your surroundings
Willpower, being such a fickle thing, is not always present when we need it most. Everyone knows about it, and yet, we still love to tempt fate, getting into situations and places where we have to gather all our will into a fist in order not to succumb to the next gastronomic temptation.
Whether we like it or not, we live under the influence of our environment. That is, we literally eat what we see. Therefore, one of the effective strategies in the formation of a healthy diet is to get rid of junk food.
1) Clean the refrigerator and kitchen cabinets of chips, smoked meats, soda, etc.
2) Always have healthy ready-made snacks on hand. These can be nuts, fresh and dried fruits, smoothies, dark chocolate, whole grain bread, cheese, plain yoghurts, and more.
3) Keep healthy foods in front of you. According to a number of studies, our choice of food depends largely on the ease of access to it. So stop hiding and putting healthy food out of your sight.
4) Follow the timing of meals before and after training. Just like the water balance of the body. Stay hydrated and drink clean water.
3. Keep a food diary
When it comes to changing behavior (in our case, eating habits), the first step to success is awareness and understanding of what you are doing.
The food diary allows you to keep track of your meals and provides answers to many questions.
