Back in August, I came across a post in mayonnaise-nah Eat baby, mom tried. I saw this community a couple of times and every time I was unpleasantly surprised by the shamelessness of the people who write there. So and here they smashed to smithereens attempts to be creative with children's food. In such moments I want to ask: "Are you sure that you yourself would have done better?" I wouldn't speak for myself :)

But this is all a saying. The tale is that all these photos reminded me of Japanese baby food Often, when a child goes to the garden, for example, he needs to give a box of lunch with him. There are kindergartens the child needs to be given only rice from home. In some gardens, in general, you don't need anything. But more often than not, mom still has to cook baby food. And this creativity strikes me to the core. Just put rice, scrambled eggs, sausages, vegetables in a box - it's somehow not properly. The child needs to make everything beautiful and appetizing. For some, this process is a real pleasure, and for some have to do because if your child brought the usual a box with ordinary food, while the rest of the children have everything decorated according to the latest fashion, then your child will be a black sheep in the company. And being a black sheep in Japan is even less pleasant than anywhere else. It was.

So I laugh nervously when I think that at the age of three we will have to give Anya to the Japanese garden. And don't bring Buddha it will be one where the child needs to give not only rice with him. because while my artistic data hardly allow me to do something aesthetically pleasing by Japanese standards.

I copied pictures from Japanese blogs. And these are not some blogs. professionals, but ordinary ones, led by simple Japanese women, mothers little children.

Sometimes I think it's still not so hopeless in my case. Of course, many Japanese have been good at drawing since childhood. It is something probably genetic. Russians have always been strong in technical subjects, and among the Japanese there are many humanists who are well draw. And although I will never be close even to the middle Japanese level, but at least there are many beautiful examples around what such baby food might look like.

Dozens of books in bookstores to help master the creative process preparing such food. Some of them only give recipes. In others, they explain step by step the intricacies of making decorative elements. In order not to cut everything straight with your own hands, to help mothers produce various stencils and molds for extrusion and cutting. In supermarkets you can find shelves with such goods and other decorative (inedible) elements for decoration.

There is even food already with a "picture".

Sometimes molds and stencils come with the book.

Curious food monuments erected in Russia

There is an opinion that Russians love to eat delicious food. But our relationship with food doesn't end there. Recently, food has been immortalized in various parts of our country in the form of funny sculptures and monuments.

In this collection you will get acquainted with the most unusual human sculptures, installed in honor of various foods.

SAUSAGE MONUMENT

In the "dashing" 90s of the last century, right at the entrance to the North Chemsky market of Novosibirsk, one of the city's attractions appeared - a monument to sausage. The opinions of residents and guests of the city about the event and the monument itself were divided. Some consider it a successful move by the producers of the main product on the table of Russians. Others treat the monument with healthy irony. It seems to the third that the “perpetuation” of the sausage is long overdue, and they are perplexed why this event was so delayed.

The three-meter monument symbolizing a stick of sausage cut in half with pieces of bacon did not appear by itself. According to a few sources, the author of the monument is Roman Kadachigov, who was born in 1979. Rumor ascribes to the local wits the inscription, which flaunted near the monument. Its authors urged fellow citizens not to hang their noses, even if life seems hard. Like, who is easy now? “Hey, don't hang your noses, eat more sausage!”, - this amusing call was liked by many.

Monument to the pasta "Pasta unites the world"

in the Kaluga region, in the village of Petrovo, as part of the first food festival dedicated to the pasta, which took place at the site "Ethnomir" , next to the wooden plagues of the peoples of the North and a giant Russian stove, the sculpture “Pasta unites the world” now flaunts.

It is a three-meter red macaroni, on top of which is a macaroni cone in the form of a smile. On the edges of the smile there are sculptural images of a man and a woman, who, on both sides, gobble up a large “spaghetti” with appetite.

Monument to the Friendship cheese

Monument to the melted cheese "Druzhba" is located in Moscow at the intersection of the garden and Rustaveli Street. The monument was created based on the fable of I.A. Krylov "Crow and Fox" and depicts a fox and a crow with pieces of cheese "Friendship", which "made friends" of them.

In 2004, at the first cheese festival, it was decided to erect a monument to cheese. A competition was announced and a jury was appointed, which chose the winners - the father and son of the Shcherbakovs. The Shcherbakovs created the Friendship Cheese sculpture, which is now of great importance for Russian residents - it has become a symbol of peace, harmony and friendship. The monument was included in the list of "Most Unusual Monuments of Moscow".

The sculpture attracts attention not only as a close-knit team, but also brings back memories of the era of the Soviet period, at a time when there were grocery stores around, discos were held on Fridays, and many lived in student dormitories. The monument attracts the attention of both city dwellers and tourists, guests of Moscow.

MONUMENT TO SPPROTS A bronze sculpture of a jar with sprats was installed in the city, in honor of the long work of the Mamonovsky fish cannery in Soviet times. By the way, to this day, the plant supplies various cities with a favorite delicacy.

The monument to sprats is two meters high and looks like a majestic marble sto, on which stands a large jar of sprats. From open canned food, several fish briskly jump out, one of them is wearing a golden crown on its head.

The author of the monument was the sculptor Fyodor Moroz. The monument was erected in 2008. The decision to erect such a funny sculpture was made personally by the mayor of the city.

The fact is that Russians are used to considering Latvia as the “capital of sprats”. Being on the shores of the Baltic Sea, the city of Mamonovo has been engaged in this trade for many years. Now this is reminiscent of a sculpture erected on one of the central streets of the city and attracting the attention of tourists.

MONUMENT TO THE WATERMELON The monument was erected in 2010 as a token of gratitude to the largest berry, which saved many farms from ruin in a dry summer.

MONUMENT TO THE WATERMELON

The monument to the watermelon is located near Abakanaz. It can be seen approaching from Sayanogorsk, along the P411 highway. A huge monument stands on a small blue pedestal a few meters from the highway.

The monument is a round structure made of stainless steel. The metal berry is cut in half. A tidbit of a berry sticks out of the middle. The monument is painted in the appropriate colors: on the outside it is black and green with stripes, and on the inside it is deep red. In the pulp of a watermelon, as expected, grains are drawn.

The monument is so large that a person can easily fit in the section and there is still a lot of space left. In height and width, a metal watermelon reaches about two meters.

The monument to watermelon in Abakan was installed for a reason. This region is famous throughout the country for its large harvest of juicy berries, which are even exported abroad.

PELMENU MONUMENT

If, while walking around Izhevsk, you see a giant 3-meter fork with a meter-long dumpling, don't be afraid, it should be so. Izhevsk is the recognized capital of dumplings. It was here, according to the assurances of local residents, that the “bread ear” was first blinded. It is interesting that initially the author of the sculpture imagined the monument differently: a huge pot with dumplings boiled in it and standing on the fire, but this idea had to be abandoned, since it would be difficult, expensive and unsafe to realize it. Therefore, the Izhevsk monument, no matter how proud they are at home, still very much resembles 9-meter monument to dumplings, installed back in 1991 in the Canadian city of Glendon. MONUMENT TO THE CUCUMBER In the difficult 90s, in order to escape from complete lack of money, residents began to grow cucumbers in their gardens and sell them to Moscow. Cucumbers were then grown in every yard.

Later, even a special variety of cucumbers appeared - Lukhovitsky. By the way, local cucumbers are still famous for their taste and quality.

MONUMENT TO CUCUMBERS

There is an amazing and funny monument to cucumber in Stary Oskol. This is how you drive along a picturesque road, and ... a green hundred-kilogram handsome man is standing on the track, planted on a four-meter fork.

Designed by Stary Oskol graphic designer Viktor Nechval appeared on June 11, 2009. The city sculpture was installed for a reason. Nearby is the agricultural company "Metallurg", specializing in the cultivation of environmentally friendly products. Cucumber varieties "Relay" and "Athlete" of this agricultural enterprise were awarded a gold medal at the international competition "Environmental Safe Products". So now Stary Oskol is famous not only for delicious Slavyanka sweets, but also for fragrant delicious cucumbers. The only pity is that the famous Stary Oskol vodka "Ublya", named after a small river, was discontinued. A noble gift from the Belgorod land turned out: Ublya vodka and an environmentally friendly cucumber on a fork.

MONUMENT TO VOBLE Of course, all Astrakhan residents love to catch and dry this fish on the balconies, but this is not why they erected a monument to it.

During the Great Patriotic War, this small fish saved the population of the Astrakhan region from starvation. Vobla "did not know" about the tragedy and, as in peacetime, went in shoals to spawn in the spring flood. Thanks to her, Astrakhan survived.

Conflict Monument

in the city of the city of the Moscow Region near the Ozersky Souvenir confectionery, one of the most popular Korovka sweets in Russia is awarded.

The opening of this monument took place in 2008, on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the confectionery factory. This square with the “Korovka” located on it has become a favorite resting place for the townspeople, one of the sights of this town and is perceived as a kind of tribute to the delicacy loved by the people.

MONUMENT TO POTATO

Monument to Potato, located in the city of Leninsk. Almost every city has a similar monument, and Mariinsk is no exception. More than 70 years ago, in 1942, the link of the Mariinsky state farm "Krasny Perekop" harvested 1,331 centners of potatoes from one hectare. This world record has not yet been broken by anyone. It was in honor of this record that the 29September 2008, a monument to the Potato, and the same year was declared the International Year of the Potato.

The pedestal is made of wood by craftsman Yury Mikhailov. Depicts a potato in an earflap with a shovel in his hands. On the reverse side it is written in honor of whom or what it is installed. The sculpture fits well into the architectural ensemble of the city. Currently, a cafe and a playground have been built near the monument.

A fair, a concert program, an exhibition and tasting of potato dishes, various competitions were held at the opening of the Potato monument on the main square of Mariinsk. Fanciful potato tubers, new varieties of potatoes were presented. Since then, such holidays have been celebrated in the city of Mariinsk every year.

MONUMENT TO BREAD

The monument to bread is located in Zelenogorsk region (city of Zelenogorsk). The sculpture was created by the famous sculptor Arsen Avetisyan on July 6, 2003. This small monument was located near the Khleb store on Lenina Avenue, 20.

The height of the pedestal is 80 centimeters, bakery products made of bronze are located on it, its basis is black bread, 125 daily grams of which saved the lives of thousands of hungry blockade survivors.

In addition to the loaf, cut into several pieces, the exhibition also includes modern products of today - crackers, loaves, bagels.

If you take a closer look at the monument, you will see a certain zest - a small mouse looks out from under the crust of bread.

MONUMENT TO HAPPINESS

As a symbol of happiness, the customers and authors of the sculpture chose the figure that most fully embodies this state - a well-fed wolf at a wedding from the legendary cartoon "Once upon a time there was a dog."

Undoubtedly, this monument fully symbolizes the attitude of Russian people to food.

Monument to Samovar

in December 2008 in the city of Elabuga opened an interesting monument to the samovar - this certain attribute of the ancient Chaffitius ceremony. The place for an unusual monument - a symbol of the merchant Yelabuga, was chosen appropriately, on the square near the hotel "Toima" - once this street was called Khlebnaya, and now it is Lenin Square.

According to the author of the unusual monument, Almaz Khakimov, the samovar is a whole philosophy. When there were no televisions or radios in the houses, he gathered the whole family at one table. A symbol of home comfort for Yelabuga, which is modern and also a symbol of its history, which its residents carefully preserve and restore. Indeed, at one time Yelabuga was a famous merchant city, in which merchants of various guilds lived, who were famous not only for their commercial success, but also for patronage for the benefit of the city.

The samovar monument is 4 meters high, probably the biggest samovar in the world, say the locals. The main city samovar is the work of local blacksmiths. The work took several months. And now for many years pleases the townspeople and guests.

MONUMENT TO APPLE-ANTONOVKA. KURSK

Modern Kursk is a beautiful and comfortable city. Every year, new interesting sculptures, fountains and art objects appear on its streets. One of the most creative decorations of Kursk is the Kursk Antonovka monument. What is the history of this object? Why is the apple considered the symbol of the city?

Antonovka apples have been grown in the vicinity of Kursk for more than a century. According to the legends, these fruits from the Kursk province were delivered to the royal table even under Catherine the Great. In the USSR, in the Kursk region, there were many state farms for fruit nursery. Antonovka ordinary is a winter variety of apples, which has a lot of advantages. The fruits are distinguished by excellent fresh taste, suitable for preservation and preparation of desserts. Apples of this variety are quite large, can be stored for a long time. The monument "Kursk Antonovka" is not just a pretty art object that fits well into the environment of the city. This is a symbol of Kursk, its pride, as well as an appeal to the inhabitants of the city not to forget about ancient crafts and customs.

The project of an original and symbolic monument for the city was created in 2004 by the sculptor Klykov Vyacheslav Mikhailovich. This is an Honored Worker of Culture, laureate of the USSR State Prize in 1982. Among the works of this recognized master are sculptures of Marshal Zhukov, Pushkin, Andrei Rublev and other prominent figures. "Antonovka" in Kursk was one of the last works of this talented sculptor. Vyacheslav Mikhailovich decided to make his apple in ideal proportions and on an enlarged scale. The finished sculpture was purchased from its author by the Kurskprombank Corporation. After coordination with the city administration, the monument "Kursk Antonovka" was installed in the very center of the city. The grand opening of a new art object was timed to coincide with the celebration of the Apple Savior. 19August 2008, residents and guests of the city were finally able to admire the original sculpture. The celebration of the Apple Savior took place with traditional folk festivals, performances by folklore groups and pleasant surprises for guests. The opening of this art object was the beginning of a new urban tradition. Now residents and guests of Kursk annually celebrate the most apple holiday near the thematic sculpture. The monument "Kursk Antonovka" is often also called the symbol of the city's "Person of the Year" award. This award is presented in a solemn atmosphere to outstanding figures of the city. The people have long nicknamed the award the “golden apple”, since it is in the shape of this fruit that the gilded insignia are made.

The monument to an apple is an oblong fruit with a stem and a leaf. The sculptor made it using the knockout technique. Gilded copper sheets were used to create the sculpture. Inside the royal fruit is hollow. Remarkably, even with this design, the apple weighs about 150 kg. Its dimensions are also striking: the height of the sculpture is 2 meters, and the diameter is 1.5 meters. The art object looks especially impressive in sunny weather. The shiny surface of the giant fruit reflects light, making it possible to observe how the apple literally glows from the inside. According to the confessions of many residents of Kursk, an apple looks so appetizing that one literally wants to eat it. If you come to Kursk, you should definitely visit the monument to the Kursk Antonovka. With a large apple, very bright and original photos are obtained!

PIONEER WITH GRAPE. SAINT PETERSBURG

The Pioneers sculpture is located in the central courtyard of Russia's oldest children's hospital - in the 19th century it was the Imperial Nikolaev Hospital, in the 20th century it was the Filatov Children's Hospital for Infectious Diseases. In Soviet times, such sculptures were not uncommon, but now they are already a rarity, especially in such good condition. Education by work was a mandatory requirement of the Soviet school, so young vinedressers, grain growers, etc. were welcomed. Often, children were involved in harvesting, went "for potatoes. "

The square is famous for its bronze decorative benches, among which there are also the composition "Beavers", "Bench of Reconciliation", "Owlets", "Dachshund" and other works of park art.

The bench is a large slice of pumpkin lying next to a smaller pumpkin. A pretty bronze fly sits on the edge of the slice, giving the sculpture an extra charm. The authors of the bench were sculptors Alexander Budaev and Vyacheslav Zvonov.

Gifted children of the city inspired the authors to create this composition, and philanthropist Azat Kazarovich Asaturov allocated funds for the creation of this wonderful gift to the city. The bench was installed in 2005 and since that time has fallen in love with both Sochi residents and guests of the city. Like many other urban sculptures, the bench attracts the attention of everyone who comes to this wonderful city.
