  • Mixed Vegetable Soup for Babies and Toddler is a multi-vitamin soup for growing babies above 8 to 9 months.
  • It is a combination of 4 veggies. Kindly ensure that you have served each of these vegetables to your baby individually and no allergies have been found.
  • Sterilize all the container, feeding bowls and spoons very well before use.
  • Feed the baby in an upright position only to avoid choking. Do not for a habit of playing while eating.
  • No salt has been added to this soup as most pediatricians don’t recommend it now-a-days. For toddlers (1 year and above) restricted quantity of salt can be added as per your pediatricians advice.

  • Any new food is best introduced in the morning hours as the baby is fresh and digestion will also get completed before during the day.
  • For Mixed Vegetable Soup for Babies and Toddler first you need to prepare the cauliflower. Choose cauliflower that has light cream coloured, tight and compactly arranged florets, with no dark spots and with firm straight leaves.

  • Wipe them with a clean kitchen towel and pat dry them.
  • Using the sterilized knife chop the cauliflower. Keep the chopped cauliflower aside.
  • For Mixed Vegetable Soup for Babies and Toddler next you need prepare the bottle gourd. Ensure that the bottle gourd has a smooth skin, is pale green in colour and free from any cuts, spots and blemishes. It should be firm to handle and the flesh should not feel soft when pressed.
  • Wash the bottle gourd very well with clean water to make it free of dirt if any. Wash it under running water to prevent any sort of contamination.
  • Wipe it with a clean kitchen towel and pat dry them.
  • Trim both the edges of the bottle gourd.
  • Cut the bottle gourd horizontally into 2 parts using a sterilized knife.
  • Peel the bottle gourd with a sterilized peeler and discard the peels. Peel it very well so that no green part remain as these are not easily digestible by babies at  8 to 9 months.
  • Using the sterilized knife chop the bottle gourd into medium sized pieces. Keep the chopped bottle gourd aside.
  • Then the next step to make Mixed Vegetable Soup for Babies and Toddler is to buy the perfect carrot. Carrot should be firm, smooth, relatively straight and bright in color. Avoid carrots that are excessively cracked or bruised.
  • Wash the carrot very well with clean water to make it free of dirt if any. Wash it under running water to prevent any sort of contamination.
  • Wipe it with a clean kitchen towel.

  • Wipe it with a clean kitchen towel.
  • Scoop out and discard the eyes of the tomatoes using the tip of the sharp sterilized knife.
  • Cut the tomato into 4 parts vertically using the knife.
  • Remove the center white portion and the seeds of the tomatoes using the same knife and discard them.
  • Using the sterilized knife chop the tomatoes into medium sized pieces and keep aside.
  • Now begin cooking Mixed Vegetable Soup for Babies and Toddler. Take a clean pressure cooker and add chopped cauliflower into it. Cauliflower is a rich source of vitamin C.
  • Add the chopped bottle gourd. This vegetable gives considerable amounts of water.
  • Then add chopped carrot. They provide good amounts of vitamin A.
  • Finally add the last vegetable – chopped tomatoes. We have used 4 different vegetables in this soup. You can make a Mixed Vegetable Soup of Infants using any vegetable which is handy.
  • Add 1 cup of water.
  • Mix well using a ladle.
  • Close the lid of the pressure cooker and pressure cook for 2 whistles. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
  • This is how the cooked mixture of Mixed Vegetable Soup for Infants and Toddlers will look like. Cool the mixture slightly.
  • Transfer the mixture into the jar of a mixer.
  • Blend till really smooth. Ensure that no vegetable pieces remain after blending, as that can lead to choking in babies.
  • Transfer the blended mixture of Mixed Vegetable Soup for Babies and Toddlers into a broad non-stick pan.
  • Cook Mixed Vegetable Soup for Babies and Toddlers on a medium flame for 1 minute. Stir it once in between.

    Kindergarten-style mixed vegetable soup

Soup-puree for children is a kind of magic wand, because there are a lot of vegetables, and it is perfect for the age when there are no teeth yet. Moreover, I will show you a way to quickly change this very soup so that any adult likes it.

Weight of all ingredients already fully cleaned.

Broth - by no means does it mean a cube, but cooked with one's own hand. For example, chicken. Personally, I always have at least half a kilo (equal to half a liter) of frozen broth in my freezer, so I have 50/50 water plus broth.

If you used broth, then most likely it was already salted. In this case, additional salt is not necessary. If you are using part or all of the water, add some salt. A little! Because salt is not recommended for children.

    Ingredients:
    • Carrot - 150 g
    • Potato - 120 g
    • White cabbage - 100 g
    • Onion - 50 g
    • Broth - 900 g can be replaced with water.
    • Wheat flour - 25 g
    • Butter - 25 g
    • Milk - 180 g
    • Salt - optional
    • Water - 2 tablespoons

    Preparation: Step 1

    • Soup-puree data sheet No. 51.

    • Step 2

      Cooking technology and quality requirements.

    • Step 3

First, put a pot of broth or water on the fire and bring to a boil. Finely chop the cabbage and add to the boiling broth. Cooking time depends on the type of cabbage. If fresh is cooked in 15 minutes, then more winter varieties can be cooked 2 times longer.

    • Step 4

Next potatoes. We cut it up too. It is large, because it is thrown immediately after the cabbage and will cook for 15-20 minutes.

    • Step 5

According to the technology, it is necessary to blanch separately - hold for a minute in boiling water - diced onion, and then sauté it in butter - bring over low heat until transparent.

And carrots should be cooked with oil, that is, over low heat in oil with a small amount of water, bring it to half-cooked. BUT! I propose to simplify a little, while not harming anyone.

Heat the frying pan, add half or a little more of the declared butter and spread the onion. Saute it on low heat for a couple of minutes. Next, add carrots, a couple of tablespoons of water and simmer it all for another three minutes.

    • Step 6

Add our vegetables from the frying pan to the broth for potatoes and cabbage and cook until they are fully cooked. I think in about 5-7 minutes everything will be cooked.

    • Step 7

Pour 200 grams of liquid from the pan. Blend the rest with an immersion blender until smooth. If you don’t have one, then I would like to say - be sure to buy it, but I will say this: first, drain all the liquid, and grind the vegetables through a sieve :) After that, combine everything.

    • Pitch 8

Return the soup to the heat and bring to a boil again. Stir and do not make the maximum fire, as mashed soups tend to burn.

While boiling, we will make a white sauce. According to technology, it is done like this: lightly fry the flour in a pan until creamy. Flour is poured into the melted butter with continuous stirring, and then, without ceasing to stir intensively, they begin to pour in the broth in a stream.

I propose to simplify everything, especially since we have only butter, nothing. So, just pour flour into a mug, add 50-70 grams of broth and mix well so that there are no lumps, then dilute with the remaining broth (we cast it, 200 grams). That's it, the sauce is ready. If suddenly you still have lumps - strain it through a strainer. While stirring the soup, pour the sauce into the saucepan.

    • Step 9

Bring the soup to a boil again and cook for a minute. Next, add milk and the remaining half of the butter. Bring to a boil again and switch off after a minute. That's it, the soup is ready!

    • Step 10

And now let's look at how you can transform this soup so that even a man will like it. Indeed, often, a young mother does not have much time to cook separately for a child, and separately for her husband and herself.

So, first of all, we will, of course, salt it and add pepper. And also peel a large clove of garlic, pass it through a press and also mix it into the soup. Of course, this is for amateurs and we are.

Next, take a chicken breast (for example, one half) and cut it into small strips. Salt and pepper a little. Heat the frying pan, pour in a little vegetable oil and over high heat, stirring often, quickly fry these same chicken pieces.
