Baby alive doll that eats food
Which Baby Alive Doll Do I Get? Kids Toy Review
Baby Alive Review
One day my two-year-old daughter tells me that she wants a real baby that poops. I immediately think that she wants a little baby brother or sister. We were at the store and she says “look, mommy, the pooping baby, can I have that?” There it was, a Baby Alive that actually poops. While looking at these dolls, I noticed that there were so many different types. Talking with some of my friends with kids, I learned that a Baby Alive is a pretty popular doll among girls. I have to admit these dolls are pretty amazing. Some of them can crawl, talk, pee, poop, be styled. With so many types, it can be difficult finding the right one. We at www.kidsplayandcreate.com composed a list of some of the most popular types of Baby Alive dolls. We hope that this list helps you on your journey to finding the best Baby Alive doll for your little one.
History of Baby Alive Dolls
Baby Alive Dolls first came onto the market in 1973. They were produced by the Kenner company. The dolls came with little packets of food that needed to be mixed with water. Once the food was mixed with water you were able to feed that doll with the included spoon. Once you spoon fed the doll you have to use a lever on the back of the doll to make the mouth go up and down and eat the food. After the doll ate the food, the food would go through the doll and come out into the diaper.
In 1992 the first talking Baby Alive Doll came out. The doll automatically ate the food, there was no more lever on its back. The doll didn’t sell very well as it made a lot of gear noises and the doll had an adult female sounding voice.
In 1995 a new version of the Baby Alive doll was released. This doll did not talk and came with a potty , snacks and juice boxes.
After Hasbro took over the Kenner company the Baby Alive Doll was re-released in 2006. A variety of Baby Alive Dolls came out. They produced ones that talked and had a baby voice, they have ones the poop, eat, crawl and even some just to snuggle with.
Check out all the different types of Baby Alive Dolls below.

Baby Alive Clothes Packs
Children love dressing their baby dolls. This adorable set features a cute tutu skirt, shorts, pants, dress and three t-shirts. These outfits fits Baby Alive dolls between 12-14 inches.

Baby Alive Sippy Cups and Baby Carrier Bundle
Baby Alive Doll Car Seat and 2-Pack Sippy Cup Bundle for 16″ Dolls (Pink)
This pack of 2 sippy cups is made especially for Baby Alive Dolls. They can be filled with water. These sippy cups are not magnetic, you must squeeze the water into the baby’s mouth. These are for pretend play only. They are not made for your child to drink from. This bundle also comes with a baby carrier that can hold dolls up to 16 inches. Children can use the carrier to carry their dolls around or use it as a feeding chair when it is time for their baby to eat. Great add-on gift.
No, You can only use the special food that comes with the baby. Also, make sure your child knows that the special food is food baby only and not them. The food is non-toxic however, you do not want your child to eat the food. Also, it is important not to fill the Baby Alive doll’s sippy cups or bottles with anything besides water. Filling the cups or bottles with anything else could cause mold or bacteria to grow inside the doll if not cleaned out properly. Water is the only liquid that should be used.
Is it possible to use regular Play-Doh as food?I have not personally tried it, but after some research, I found that people have tried using Play-Doh and it worked well with the food shapers. It also went through the doll pretty well and did not get stuck. Make sure when making the food with the included food shapers, that your child only uses a little at a time. Placing big chucks inside the doll’s mouth could cause it to get stuck and not work properly.
What age group is Baby Alive for? This depends on the type of Baby Alive you purchase. For younger girls 1 – 2 I would choose Baby Alive Luv N Snuggle or Baby Alive Snugglin Sarina, they are great first time dolls. For girls 3-9 I would choose one of the other Baby Alive dolls that have more features such as eating or peeing.
Are Baby Alive dolls made well?yes, Baby Alive dolls are pretty amazing. They are a great quality doll and worth the price. If you take care of them, they will last a very long time.
Can Baby Alive dolls be cleaned easily? Most of the Baby Alive dolls can be cleaned easily. They are made from plastic that can be wipes down with soap and water. The Snugglin’ Sarina Doll and the Luv N Suggle Baby Alive Doll has soft bodies that make it a little harder to clean.
Remembering the Baby Alive Toy Fad of the 1980s
Long before “Baby Yoda” captured the collective hearts and imaginations of kids and adults everywhere, a different infant seized the attention of popular culture. In the early 1980s, Kenner sold up to 1 million Baby Alive dolls annually.
Unlike other plastic babies who boasted only of clothes or strollers, Baby Alive simulated the perils of caring for a child by forcing children to cope with its eating, drinking, and urinating needs. Or worse.
Since its debut in 1973, Baby Alive enraptured kids with its mechanical mouth that could “chew” a special kind of food that came in a packet and had to be mixed with water. Down the infant’s torso it would go, until it came out as plastic doll waste—and often colorful plastic doll waste.
Disgusted? That was what Kenner was hoping for. Like a prototype Garbage Pail Kids character come to semi-life, the company banked on what it called the “eww factor.” Unlike most dolls, adorable and bespoke in their finest doll attire, Baby Alive was meant to repulse.
When the idea of a doll that could “eat” was circulating at Kenner in the early 1970s, then-president Bernie Loomis knew it could be a big hit. But there was an urge to go further—to present the reality of spoon-feeding in such a way that a child would have to endure the gastrointestinal conclusion of ingesting concoctions like Cherry, Yummy Banana, and Sweet Pea. These dried packets, while easy to package, were reminiscent of astronaut food. Mixed with water, the paste slid through Baby Alive until it plopped into their doll Pampers. Later, Kenner marketing director Laura Pugh would refer to this as the “diaper-dirtying aspect. ”
While it seemed like Baby Alive would best be gifted only to children you disliked, the doll’s action seemed to be a hit with girls. Kenner’s focus group subjects expressed a kind of glee, declaring it both disgusting and irresistible.
As Baby Alive’s popularity grew, so did Kenner’s keen marketing sense. If a girl had a Baby Alive doll, she would obviously need to keep it fed, which meant parents were constantly returning to stores for the food packets. And if the doll kept fulfilling the diaper's purpose, it would need more of those, too. In this way, Baby Alive resembled nothing so much as an analog Tamagotchi, another toy creation whose sole purpose in life involved eating and pooping.
Kenner took particular marketing joy in this, cheering on Baby Alive’s prolific defecations in its advertising, which was splashed all over print and television to keep the price of the doll at a reasonable $10. 87 even though it cost retailers $9.90. Like Baby Alive, they dealt in volume. “Oh-oh! Baby Alive needs a diaper change! She really dirties it!”
By 1992, Baby Alive no longer needed Kenner to be a mouthpiece. The doll began speaking on its own, notifying girls when it had detonated yet another Sweet Pea bomb in its increasingly sagging pants. Mercifully, Kenner added a potty to the line, where Baby Alive could presumably unwind.
Baby Alive is still on sale, though now under the Hasbro umbrella. One model, Baby Alive Real As Can Be, is diapered but makes only pretend messes, not real ones. Curiously, her 1970s counterpart seemed more advanced. It brought a glimpse of a future where we not only played with artificial intelligence, we had to clean up after it, too.

As a result of a house robbery initiated by some intruder, a young woman, Lisa, suffers a serious head injury, and her young son Jude, who was a direct witness of the robbery, receives psychological trauma, due to which he withdraws into himself and refuses to talk to anyone. Jude doesn't say a word even when his parents are around. Now the boy speaks with the help of sheets and a pen. And so for a very long time. Lisa, along with her husband Sean and Jude, decide to briefly move to a country holiday home, relatively far from the city's infrastructure. Wandering through the nearby forest, Jude notices on the surface of the earth either a hand, or another part of the body, apparently a large doll. Jude's curiosity gets the better of him and he walks up to the place that beckons him, starting to dig. So Jude digs up someone buried porcelain doll-smiling boy that no longer rested in a pit, but in a kind of grave. Lisa sees Jude's find and allows him to take it with him. At home, Liza cleans the doll of dirt, tints the face in some places and generally brings it to its original appearance, as if the doll had just come off the production line. Lisa and Sean notice that Jude is very often with the doll and does not want to part with it. As Jude explains, the doll's name is Brahms, saying that she herself told him the name. Parents believe that their son has found a suitable friend, replacing the real one until his mental recovery. Lisa and Sean consult a psychotherapist and are advised never to take the doll away from their son. Liza begins to notice some oddities in the doll, reminiscent of children's horror stories about demonic dolls coming to life. And the doll, meanwhile, really shows signs reminiscent of children's horror stories: while no one sees it, it moves its head, changes the position of the body, or even moves from room to room ...
Liza learns from her son, who is still in contact with others with sheets and pens, that now the doll is the master of the situation, and she will set the rules for how their family lives. Lisa and Sean don't like what their son tells them. And if Sean believes that his son is viciously, but deliberately fooling around, then Lisa, who was a witness to the paranormal, tends to believe in the demonic origin of the doll. Sean thinks that his wife has a little mental problem, so she supposedly sees something that is not really there. In other words, he involuntarily imagines. Jude, meanwhile, sometimes talks, in the future he will finally begin to do it fully. Lisa does not want to calm down and conducts her own investigation. So she learns that the doll is indeed demonic, and is able to manipulate its owner, forcing him to kill and make sacrifices. It also becomes clear that the doll is more than a dozen years old, and, apparently, it has undergone repeated restoration. In general, Lisa understands that the demonic doll wanders from family to family for a very long time, and over and over again manages to outlive its owners. In addition, Lisa witnesses how the heavy dining table located in the house overturns. Sean does not believe his wife that the doll or their son did it, besides, the son would not have been able to do it corny due to insufficient physical strength. Sean thinks that Lisa herself knocked over the table, playing with her paranormal investigations. Seeking to be right, Lisa discovers an ominous notebook with illustrations of murders in Jude's room, where they also draw her and Sean's bodies. Jude himself is depicted as the killer, unquestioningly fulfilling the will of the doll. Adding mystique to all this is Jude's laconic statement addressed to his mother: "Don't piss off the doll."
Joseph, the groundskeeper, confronts Lisa for a moment. He is not happy that she sniffs out the history of the doll. Joseph says that he once also restored the found doll, that is, Brahms. The doll seemed to be asking him to do it. Subsequently, Joseph fell under the absolute control of Brahms. According to the caretaker, Brahms knew that Jude would appear in the area. The main goal of the caretaker, entrusted to him by the doll, was that he should properly control the merger of the weak-willed Jude and Brahms into a single being. Lisa escapes from a clearly inadequate Joseph and hastily searches for her son. She finds him in a nearby house in the basement. Jude, with a porcelain mask on his face, is in a kind of trance, but at the same time he is semi-conscious. Clearly by deceit, Lisa is trying to convey to her son that everything will be fine, and that there will be no happiness in their family without Brahms. Lisa convinces Jude that it's time for them to go to their home and take the doll with them. Sean, who was simultaneously investigating the history of the doll, enters the basement. He smashes the head of nearby Brahms with a croquet mallet. At this time, Joseph enters the basement. Joseph panics at the sight of the broken Brahms and begins to fight in hysterics. Brahms shows his true essence, that is, demonic. Behind the broken porcelain shell of the head, we see a terrible creature - a bloodthirsty, charred demon. Brahms kills Joseph. Jude manages to calm Brahms, take him in his arms and throw him into a fiery furnace, where he finally dies. After a nightmare, the family returns to their home. It would seem that peace and harmony have come in the family, but one night Jude gets up from his bed and puts on a Brahms porcelain mask, with the phrase that followed, as if merging with him into a single being.

Kapeets, this is such nonsense, the first part was chic with an unexpected ending, and they made another supernatural nonsense out of this, it’s even a shame, I thought there would be a continuation with the same actors that something would make them return to the house, yes even this the family would fit, well, I mean that the previous heroes from the first part would have found a reason there to return and save me from the maniac, in general, the film disappointed me to put it mildly (

frankly weak script, the actors actually have almost nothing to play, and as a result, a very mediocre film. It's not worth watching, it's just not interesting.

If you are looking for a serious horror movie, this is not about this movie. Light, dynamic, creepy 2 out of 10. But I liked it. All the characters are cool, especially Katie Holmes

The film is average, there are scary moments, there are some that you foresee. For a moment it's okay.

I was delighted with the ending of the first part, when the whole film was filled with mysticism, and the end turned out to be very rational. I am equally disappointed by the ending of the second film. Technically qualitatively, the script is weak and trivial.

The atmosphere of the film is quite creepy, sometimes frightening. Acting on the level, picture, music is good. BUT there is one BUT: the beautiful ending and the concept of part 1 were turned into something supernatural. What was it? How, why, why? Many questions. And something tells me that this is in order to play on this topic in the future and shoot a few more parts. If you liked part 1 - I do not advise you to watch, do not spoil the impression. If you don't care for part 1 - go ahead, the film is just fine.

Living history in holidays and dolls
Folk doll is an amazing phenomenon, many-sided, bright, alive. A doll made of fabric, grass, straw or flowers by a mother for a child or a girl for a younger sister or brother contains secret generic information, love and protection live in it.
Lyudmila Dmitrievna Batirova devoted more than one year to making dolls. Working at school, then at the House of Children's Creativity, she taught girls and boys not only to make beautiful dolls with their own hands, but also to remember that through a folk doll a connection is established between generations, ancestors and descendants are united. We decided to find out from her what meaning our ancestors put into dolls and whether we can decipher folk puppet wisdom.
— Tell me, Lyudmila Dmitrievna, how did our ancestors play with dolls?
- Dolls were by no means always intended for games. In the life of the Russian village, a patchwork doll was the most common toy. Even in poor peasant families, where children's toys were bast shoes, spoons, wooden eggs, rag dolls were a must. Both boys and girls played with dolls up to about 7-8 years old, until they had differences in costume. But only the boy dressed in trousers, and the girl in a skirt, their games and playing roles began to differ strictly. From that time until her marriage, the girl's play interests narrowed around the doll and were increasingly intertwined with traditional needlework. Playing with dolls, the girl learned to cut, embroider, spin, and sew.
- Could you play all year round?
— At Svyatki they tried to stop puppet games. This borderline time, associated with the winter solstice, was considered dangerous. The dolls were removed and hidden - away from any evil spirits from the "other world". These ritual actions protected the house and offspring. Toys were never left on the street, they were not scattered anywhere. They were stored in baskets, boxes, boxes. Dolls were often kept until marriage, taken with them as a dowry, and then passed on to children. Mothers, grandmothers, older sisters sewed dolls for small children. With incredible busyness, they found time for this. The child was specially taught the traditional methods of making a doll, and any girl could make a simple rag doll. She judged the skill and taste of the hostess. Therefore, for "gatherings" girls, along with a spinning wheel, often took a cart with dolls. Making dolls and playing with them were strongly encouraged. It was believed that a girl who knew how to make toys well would be a good mother. Even the "young woman" who came to her husband's house after the wedding was allowed to play with dolls.
Your dolls don't have faces, is that right?
— Yes, it's a tradition. In general, a real charm doll is made without needles and scissors, and the fabric for it is torn off by hand. It was believed that if a doll has eyes and a mouth, then through them evil spirits can harm or damage the house.
-Is it like they put video cameras on laptops now so that they can't watch you?
- You can say that (smiles). Of course, such dolls were not beautiful, but they performed their function. Previously, every peasant girl could make a simple twist doll. When the mother went to work in the field and left the girl for the mistress, she could cook food with the help of dolls. For example, my mother took her dolls, put them in height and said: “You pour grains on this doll, pour water on this one.” The girl measured the right amount and could cook, for example, porridge.

When sowing, the first handfuls of grain were taken from a bag sewn in the form of a chrysalis. The grain in it symbolized the saved forces of the nurse of the Earth. After the harvest season, the chrysalis was again filled with selected grain of the new crop. She was dressed up and carefully kept in a conspicuous place in the red corner. They believed that only then the next year would be full and there would be prosperity in the family, that it was Krupenichka who would bring prosperity and well-being to the house. In times of famine, they took grits from the chrysalis and boiled porridge from it. It was believed that such porridge transmits the forces of mother Earth. — What other projects are you going to carry out?
— The project “Historical image of the Russian people during the war of 1812” is still in progress. I cook dolls - peasants, nobles, Cossacks, hussars, there is even a general. All clothes correspond to that time. All dolls are in cotton clothes, no synthetics. Remember, there is such an expression "unbelted"? So, to prevent this from happening, a belt is required on male dolls.
