If you’re heading to Target Field for a Twins game — whether you’re planning on religiously keeping track of the score or simply enjoying the atmosphere — there are plenty of new and exciting food options to choose from this year.

BETWEEN A BUN

Upcycle Foods: When life gives Scott Vanden Broecke local brewers’ spent grains (a byproduct of the beer-making process), he makes pretzel buns. Find those pretzel buns holding together a meaty medley of mortadella, capicola, salami, ham and provolone on Upcycle’s Italian Grinder. Available at Truly On Deck.

Blue Door Pub: Nothing says Minnesota quite like an oozing cheese bomb inside a beef patty, also known as a Jucy Lucy (or Blucy to Blue Door Pub). BDP is repping Minnesota with its Pat McDonough’s Cease and Desist burger, an American cheesy classic — offering up both white and yellow American cheese inside the burger — with onions, pickles, lettuce and ‘Merican sauce drizzled on top. Find it near Gate 34.

Emerson Rus. Food Waste Disposers InSinkErator

Today, there are a huge number of different household appliances that make it possible to equip the kitchen as conveniently as possible. One of the most important appliances is the food waste disposer. This device allows you to get rid of numerous vegetable peelings, fish bones and other debris generated during cooking. This equipment does not take up much space, and its installation does not cause difficulties for most citizens. In this case, it is important to pay attention to the starting system of the purchased device. The switch can be either conventional or pneumatic. The features and benefits of the second option should be discussed in more detail.

Important details

To begin with, it is worth noting that the grinder is placed under the sink and connected to the sewer. Thus, the device is always in close proximity to water sources. Therefore, using a conventional switch for this equipment, people are at serious risk, as moisture can get on the wires. Therefore, the most secure option is the pneumatic button. It is installed on the countertop, which makes using the food waste disposer much more convenient, since you do not have to look under the sink every time to turn on the appliance.

What is the principle of operation of the air button? This part is connected to the device not with wires, but with a special air hose. Thanks to this, a person can start the device even with wet hands. A single press of the button directs the air flow to the switch located on the grinder. Pressing again stops the device.

A pneumatic button typically has a lifespan of three years. In order for the part to serve properly all this time, you should periodically remove the water that enters the device. To do this, carefully remove the clamping ring. A knife can be used at this stage. After that, the button and the plastic cylinder are removed from the hole. All parts are carefully dried with a napkin, and then the parts are put in place in the reverse order.

Today, more and more people are purchasing and installing food waste disposers in their homes and apartments. These useful devices allow you to quickly and efficiently get rid of leftover food and kitchen debris. In order not to make a mistake when buying and to purchase a really high-quality product, choose models from well-known manufacturers. For example, the in sink erator food waste chopper is very popular among the population - a stylish and reliable kitchen assistant.

Sometimes, unfortunately, these devices can become unusable for a while. However, fixing them is very easy. You can do it yourself or call the master at home.

What should I do if the device malfunctions?

- The most common cause of failure is blockage. To deal with this problem, it is advisable to look at the instructions for the device and study the chopper circuits. Before starting work, disconnect the device from the mains. Take the hex slot, which is usually sold with the device. Light up the drain with a bright flashlight and try to find the cause of the blockage. If possible, remove the lid from the sink. Insert a slot into the pipe and try to break through the blockage by moving the wrench left and right and up and down. Then turn on the chopper to check the result.
- Sometimes hoses leak. Look under the sink and find the problem. Tighten the screws around the seal. Turn on the water and check if the problem is gone. If the liquid continues to flow, you will have to buy a new seal - the same one that is installed on the chopper. You just have to replace this part and make sure that the device is working properly.
- In third place in terms of frequency of malfunctions is a flywheel failure. In this case, you will most likely need to install a new element. First turn off the chopper power. Loosen the flywheel with a hex wrench, clear the space under it of stuck debris. Perhaps this will be enough to solve the problem. Otherwise, replace the damaged flywheel.

In order not to get lost in an unforeseen situation, you need to meet it fully armed. To do this, you should buy a gasket for the chopper in advance, which will come in handy when the device deteriorates. It will be enough just to replace it, and the device will restore its functions. Also, always keep the hex wrench on hand, mentioned earlier.

It should be noted that modern high-quality food grinders break quite rarely. It is possible that you will not have to put the knowledge you have gained on repairs into practice. And if you do not want to deal with problems on your own, you can always call a qualified specialist who will quickly and accurately put your device in order.

Reverse osmosis water treatment has been used for a long time. It has proven itself in the market, ideal for filtering drinking liquids. Reverse osmosis systems are used in public catering establishments, children's, medical and other institutions, in private homes. They can be purchased from Emerson Russia.

Important points

The reverse osmosis system is connected to the water supply. Its operating principle is as follows:

- At the first stage, the liquid is purified from various impurities. It goes through three filters. In the first (mechanical) water, rust, sand, mechanical elements are removed, in the second (coal) - chlorine, pesticides, oil products. After passing the water through the third filter, it is cleaned of the remaining particles, the size of which is less than 1 micron.
- In the second stage, the membrane is activated. It is made from synthetic, environmentally friendly materials. With its help, liquid is filtered from molecular compounds. As a result, the water becomes not only crystal clear, but also its taste qualities increase.
- The third stage is cleaning with ultraviolet radiation. In some regions, very polluted water flows in pipes. Despite the fact that the degrees of purification in the reverse osmosis system are quite effective, they sometimes cannot cope with all the bacteria that, if ingested, can provoke the development of an infectious disease. UV rays destroy them. The output is a liquid that meets all hygiene standards.
- At the fourth stage, mineralization is carried out. As a result of three-stage purification, the passage of water through the membrane, the liquid is almost distilled. It lacks useful trace elements. Therefore, the process of mineralization is quite important, it will provide the liquid with useful substances, significantly improve its taste.

Reverse osmosis system, waste shredder significantly improve the life of a modern person. The issue of purchasing these devices should be approached responsibly.

Multi-stage water purification filters make the liquid as safe as possible for humans, significantly improve its organoleptic qualities and eliminate harmful impurities. Due to the fact that water is purified by a variety of methods, small and large particles of debris, bacteria, viruses, heavy metals and hazardous substances are removed from it. Also, after ultrafiltration, the liquid is saturated with useful minerals and enriched with oxygen, which makes it even more beneficial for humans. You can purchase modern equipment for the home, such as devices for five-stage water purification or Evolution 200 food waste disposers, on our website, having familiarized yourself with a wide range of products.

Primary treatment

Liquid first enters polypropylene cartridges, which mechanically clean and remove 10 micron particles. These devices are able to remove insoluble mixtures from the liquid, such as oxidized iron, due to the high density of internal polypropylene fibers. At the second stage, the water enters the filter elements, which consist of granular activated carbon, which is made from coconut shells. These cartridges remove chlorine and harmful organic compounds such as tetrahaloethylene and trihalomethane. Granules with coking coal are placed inside polypropylene cases, fixation is carried out using special tips. At the third stage, a fine purification of the liquid is performed using special flasks that are capable of removing contaminants no larger than 1 micron in size.

Maximum purity

An important element of these systems are reverse osmosis membranes, which have a porous structure. Due to the creation of a pressure difference, the liquid is passed through elastic membranes with cells up to 0.0001 micron, as a result, absolutely all impurities remain on the membranes. At the fifth stage, water enters the post-filters, which improve its taste, eliminate odors and carry out additional processing. Before buying such cleaning systems or Evolution 100 shredders, it is recommended to study the equipment instructions in detail and familiarize yourself with the technical regulations.

If your sink is often clogged, you can install a device that will permanently get rid of this problem. This is a food scraper. This convenient invention was born in the USA, in 1927 it was introduced by an American architect. John Hames patented the product and opened InSinkErator to produce it. After 20 years, dispensers began to be installed in all new buildings. In Russia, they appeared only in 1990s. Those who have installed this device in their kitchen note that the amount of garbage taken out has decreased significantly.

Types of choppers

The principle of operation of the disposer is to cut food residues into small pieces that freely pass into the drain hole of the sink and do not get stuck in the water supply. The device can be installed even in houses with old communications. Before dumping waste into the drain, you need to turn on cold water. The system will do the rest.

Disposers are available in both electric and fluid flow. The former have a rotating disk at the bottom of the chamber. The more powerful the motor, the more the wheel spins and cuts through the waste faster. Hydro grinders are not as noisy as their counterparts due to the lack of an electric motor. Inside are rotating knives that are powered by the energy transmitted by the water. If there is insufficient pressure in the system, the device will not work.

Instrument installation

What kind of waste should not be sent to the sewer? Firstly, non-food: you can not drop tea bags, threads, and so on. Secondly, some disposers have limitations. For example, they cannot handle bones, corn cobs, onion husks. You can't throw tendons in there either. Another important point: do not use chlorine and alkali-containing products when cleaning the sink.

The chopper is small and compact enough to fit under the sink. The diameter of the drain hole should be approximately equal to 90 mm. If it is smaller, this can be easily changed, and a dispenser package often comes with a special device for this purpose. You can install the Emerson shredder yourself or call a specialist.

The main breakdowns of water filters

Water quality directly affects human health, a large amount of harmful substances constantly eaten can cause serious diseases. Unfortunately, the fluid that comes from central systems or individual wells does not always meet quality and safety standards. Modern water filters are able to remove not only small particles of impurities from the liquid, but also rid it of heavy metals, chlorine and enrich it with minerals. The installation of filtration systems or, for example, the installation of food waste shredders must be carried out according to certain rules that will avoid incorrect operation of the equipment. In some cases, failures may occur during the operation of water filters, which requires a prompt search for a breakdown and its elimination.

Leaky connections

If water constantly flows into the drain, check the condition of the shut-off valve by simultaneously blocking the storage tank pipeline and opening a clean liquid tap. If the water runoff has not stopped, this part will need to be replaced. Also, the ingress of liquid into the drainage system may occur due to clogging of replaceable elements, in which case new cleaning blocks are installed. Leaky pipe connections can lead to leakage, which will require additional reinforcement of the joints. In addition, the problem is eliminated by tightening the threaded connections and installing new o-rings.

Poor performance and bad taste

Also, failure can be expressed in a weak pressure of purified water, which occurs due to low pressure at the inlet to the filter. To achieve optimal performance, it is recommended to install a booster pump, the model of which is selected based on the technical parameters of the system. Unpleasant odors and tastes in water indicate that the carbon filters or cleaning membranes have expired. In addition, the problem may be caused by preservative residues in the tank, which requires repeated rinsing of the tank. You can purchase Insinkerator drinking filters or grinders with subsequent maintenance by placing an order on our website using a convenient feedback form.

Not so long ago, very useful devices appeared on the market - food waste shredders or disposers. Using a device such as the Evolution 100, you will rid your kitchen of unpleasant odors. After all, now the garbage will no longer accumulate in the bucket: vegetable peelings, egg shells, fish and chicken bones can be disposed of immediately.

What are the grinders?

There are 2 types of dispensers:

- Mechanical. It is powered by the flow of water from the tap. In its working chamber, steel knives rotate, grinding waste into gruel, which is then washed off into the sewer.
- Electric. At the bottom of its working chamber there is a disk with metal hammers, which, when connected to the network, begins to rotate. The waste that has fallen on it is carried by centrifugal force to the walls, which are self-sharpening graters. As a result of the complex impact, waste is crushed.

Which grinder is best?

It is difficult to give an unambiguous answer to this question, since both types have their own characteristics and disadvantages. Mechanical grinders are more powerful, absolutely silent and stop when solid objects (for example, a teaspoon) hit them. But such models are very dependent on water pressure: if its pressure is less than 2.5 atmospheres, then the chopper will not be able to work normally, and if more than 6, the device may break.

Electric dispensers are inferior to mechanical dispensers in power, but do not depend on water pressure. As far as noise is concerned, the advanced Evolution 200 is very quiet and the sound of this unit will not bother you at all. The device is compact, has a three-level waste shredding technology, automatic reverse and overload protection. To get rid of garbage, you only need to press a button.

When choosing a model, also pay attention to:

- The material from which the grinder is made. Stainless steel will last longer.
- Size. Access to the device must be free, as sometimes it needs maintenance.

Comparing all the pros and cons, you can easily choose the most suitable model.

Food waste in the bin quickly deteriorates and gives off an unpleasant smell. In addition, it complicates the process of separate garbage collection. Insinkerator Evolution 150 food waste grinder is used to clean vegetables and fruits directly into the sink. This device turns this kind of garbage into puree, which passes unhindered through sewer pipes. But for the grinder to work well, you need to properly care for it.

General recommendations

The first thing to remember is that this unit is not designed to grind hard or overly hard debris. Such objects can get stuck between the rotating parts. Also, do not put cleaning products that are larger than the mesh in the sink.

Hard plant fibers can also clog the cleaner. They get tangled and the appliance will need to be cleaned. The following types of food cannot be sent to the grinder:

- hard bones;
- shells of oysters, crabs;

Such waste is best disposed of in the trash. As for potato peels, banana peels, corn cobs, parsley root and celery, they must first be cut into small pieces. Remember that both the grinder and the pipes can become clogged with eggshells, coffee grounds, and onion skins. Make sure that small metal, glass or plastic objects, as well as rags, kitchen sponges, and hair do not get into the sink.

At the same time as you start the grinder, pour cold water into the hole. This will allow waste to pass through the pipes and cool the unit from overheating.

Cleaning

If the drain and rubber seal are not washed periodically, they will absorb dirt and give off an unpleasant odor. To get rid of it, and at the same time clean all the details, freeze water and lemon juice and add ice while grinding waste. You can also finish the process with orange peels. Do not forget to pour water within a minute after all the waste has already been crushed. Then no debris will remain in the pipes. Proper use of the appliance and regular cleaning will prolong its life.

At all times, much attention has been paid to water purification. City services partially disinfect the liquid with special preparations. People themselves strive to improve water quality. For this purpose, they use various filters, including InSinkErator devices. It is very easy to buy them, the products have a very affordable cost, they do not cause difficulties in installation and maintenance.

Important points

The first users of filters were the inhabitants of Ancient Egypt. The Nile was saturated with bacteria, sand. Gauze rags were used to clean the liquid from harmful elements. Pieces of fabric were stretched over the container, and only then water was poured into a separate vessel. This procedure was repeated several times.

At all times, a wide variety of water purification devices have been used. Some peoples used a pit dug near a reservoir as a filter. The liquid seeped into it through the thickness of the earth, purification occurred naturally. In Rus', snow and rain water were used for drinking. People collected precipitation in special containers, defended them. Next, the liquid was passed through a layer of oak bark.

The first modern filters were invented at the end of the 18th century in Europe. At one of the scientific meetings, information about the chemical composition of water was announced. People learned how its quality and contents affect the body. The first filters were made on the basis of various fabrics, mesh materials. Later, devices appeared that functioned on the basis of mineral coal, gravel and quartz sand. Over time, such cleaning disappointed scientists, the systems began to complicate. Water began to be chlorinated, this method is quite effective, it easily copes with harmful microbes. But the element itself adversely affects the human body. This contributed to the emergence of powerful water disinfection systems, which are still used today. Today, filters can be found in almost every home.

It is very important to have not only clean drinking liquid in your home, but quality food waste disposers. They significantly extend the life of the sewage system. Anyone can purchase devices.

The Flash Boil System is an innovative piece of equipment that quickly won the respect of customers. It greatly simplifies the life of a modern person. What's in the box

A small cardboard box, the size of a large teacup package, decorated in the laconic Kitfort corporate style. On a black background, there is a schematic image of the device, its name and model, as well as the slogan: "For fans of salads." Information on the sides - the technical characteristics of the device and the requirements for transporting the package.

Opening the box, inside we found the shredder itself, a Micro-USB cable and a set of accompanying materials: an instruction manual, several promotional materials and a collectible magnet.

The size of the box corresponds to the dimensions of the device, so the device fits tightly. There are no additional packaging materials, the case is protected from scratches and external damage by a plastic bag.

At first glance

The Kitfort KT-3093 grinder is really tiny. The cylindrical shape with rounded edges makes the device even lighter in appearance. The design consists of three parts: a motor block, a transparent bowl and a block of knives. The white engine compartment is made of smooth plastic, pleasant to the touch. On top there is a control button with an indicator around the perimeter.

The Micro-USB connector is hidden on the side under a rubberized plug. The plug is tightly inserted, which will help protect the connector from moisture or food residue.

On the inside of the motor unit there is a protrusion that fits into the corresponding recess on the top of the blade unit.

The working bowl is made of transparent plastic, which is very good, because it will allow you to observe the progress of grinding. On the inside, there are four low protrusions on the walls. At the bottom, in the center, we see the axis on which the block of knives is installed.

On the outside at the bottom there is a silicone ring that prevents the case from slipping during operation, and, according to the manufacturer, reduces vibration and noise level.

Knife block a little less than 5.5 cm high, single, non-separable. It consists of three blades arranged horizontally, but the tips of the knives are raised by about 30°-35° upwards. The knives are quite sharp to the touch.

Standard Micro-USB cable included.

The device is extremely simple and uncomplicated. He made a good impression on us, we did not find any flaws during the external examination.

Manual

The instruction manual is a thin A5 brochure. The information is given in one language - Russian. The content of the document is standard. Traditionally for Kitfort, information is given in simple language in a logical sequence. In general, I would like to note that due to the competent division into chapters and light syllable (as far as possible for this type of technical documentation), reading instructions for devices from this manufacturer is not as tedious as some others.

Having studied the manual, the reader will get acquainted with general information about the device, its complete set, device and operating recommendations. The section devoted to tips on usage and restrictions is important (in fact, they can be limited to one). There are also mandatory chapters on cleaning and maintenance, as well as troubleshooting. A cursory one-time study of the instructions will, in our opinion, be enough for successful and safe operation of the grinder.

Control

Everything is extremely simple. Starting the work of the Kitfort KT-3093 chopper is carried out using the button located at the top of the motor unit. If the device is charged and assembled correctly, then when you press the button, the knife block starts to rotate, and the indicator lights up with a steady purple color. The device works while the user presses the button. Therefore, to turn off, you only need to release the power button.

Actually, the indicator is a means of communication with the device. While charging, it glows solid red, when charged - purple, and goes out after two minutes. When the grinder is completely discharged, the indicator will wink for the last three times in red. If a food jam occurs during operation, the indicator will flash purple. In our opinion, all these winks do not carry any semantic load. Unless they entertain the user. It is important that in a well-lit room the indicator is practically invisible.

Operation

Before first use, wash all parts of the appliance that come into contact with food. Then they need to dry and assemble the device for work. We also fully charged the chopper, and only after that we began testing.

During charging, the indicator changes color from red to purple. The power button is automatically blocked during charging, it will be possible to use the grinder only by disconnecting it from the power source. Average charging time is 2-3 hours.

Food is added to the bowl with the knife block installed. Its minimum amount should cover the lower knife, the maximum should cover the upper knife by no more than 1 cm. Hard and dense products should be cut into pieces no more than 2-3 cm, soft - about 5 cm.

Standard requirements for crushed raw materials: do not put ingredients in the bowl that could break the appliance - bones, large pieces, etc. The grinder is not intended for grinding coffee beans, black pepper, making powdered sugar, crushing ice or crushing frozen foods. After examining the limitations, we were once again convinced that the device is suitable for use in families with small children. With the help of a chopper, you can prepare small portions of complementary foods - vegetable, fruit, and later meat purees. Finding a chopper or blender that will make 50g of applesauce is not easy. Kitfort KT-3093 can become a real helper for parents in the first or second year of a child's life. However, we note that the puree is not homogenized, individual small pieces of food can stand out in it, therefore it is more suitable for babies who have already had teeth.

After that, install the motor block from above, aligning its grooves with the guides in the bowl. If the chopper does not work when you press the power button, then most likely the motor unit is not installed correctly.

The grinder must be operated for no more than 30 seconds, after which it must be allowed to cool for two minutes. If the operating time exceeds 30 seconds, the machine will automatically turn off. After three cycles of operation, the instruction recommends letting the motor cool down for 30 minutes. We repeatedly violated the requirements for the duration of work during testing - nothing terrible happened to the device, we did not notice any smell or heating of the case. The best results are achieved when working with short pulses.

Do not place very hot food in the bowl - the recommended temperature range is between 0 and 70°C.

Apart from the small volume, the operation of the grinder is perfectly normal in all other respects. Testing did not bring us any difficulties or surprises. In general, you should immediately understand that the chopper is designed for preparing small portions of food. It is convenient to chop a little greens for a salad in it, “dissolve” a head of garlic, prepare a salad with a volume for one person - and it’s great that there is a device that allows you to cook in really small portions.

Maintenance

Clean the chopper immediately after use. Do not allow food residue to dry inside the bowl. To wash the components of the appliance, do not use a dishwasher, as well as aggressive detergents and abrasive materials. Washing the engine compartment under running water, of course, is prohibited. Also, do not allow liquid to enter the places of the charging connectors and the power button.

After the tests, we washed the bowl and knives with a soft sponge and a drop of detergent. When washing knives, be careful not to cut yourself. The motor block was wiped with a damp and then dry cloth. No hassle in caring for the Kitfort KT-309 shredder3 did not occur to us.

Our measurements

First of all, we were interested in how long the device works on one battery charge. Having received the Kitfort KT-3093 chopper, we fully charged it. Then they conducted all the tests described, as well as several "fitting rooms" and, after the completion of the tests, for the soul. After all this, the grinder ran another 21 full 30-second cycles at idle, without food. Only after that the device stopped responding to pressing the power button, only the indicator blinked red three times.

The second point: the charging time with a fully discharged battery was 1 hour and 17 minutes. During this time, the device consumed 0.006 kWh.

Perhaps, Kitfort KT-3093 turned out to be the first chopper in our memory, the noise level of which does not strongly depend on the ingredients being crushed. The device always worked not that very loudly. We would call it rather quiet than loud - the device is quieter than ordinary average shredders.

Practice tests

The main purpose of testing is to understand how well the “baby” copes with grinding products, whether it has enough power to grind hard or fibrous textures.

Snack of cheese with garlic

Snack from the life of the Soviet times, which did not become less tasty. We peeled three cloves of garlic and cut into cubes a certain amount of ordinary cheese of the Russian type. It was possible to get by with two cloves of garlic, but it was interesting for us to see how the chopper grinds products of various hardness.

Worked with pulses of 3-5 seconds. When the mass became more homogeneous, the duration of the pulse was increased. The photo shows the intermediate result of the grinder.

We were very pleased with the result - the products are ground into particles of the same size, individual pieces of garlic do not stand out in the total mass.

Add some mayonnaise and mix well. Voila! The snack is ready.

Result: excellent

Garlic Carrot Salad

This test was done to see how the chopper handles tough vegetables. A small carrot was cut into pieces. The bars reached the level of the third, highest knife. Also added one clove of garlic.

Worked with short pulses first, then started non-stop operation for 30 seconds.

We were quite satisfied with the result: garlic and carrots were chopped into small fractions of the same size.

We mixed the vegetable mass with a spoonful of mayonnaise and got an excellent salad. Fast and effortless.

Result: excellent

Greens and onions

Following the slogan on the chopper box, we decided to chop the greens and onions for a fresh vegetable salad.

Half of the onion cut into small pieces.

Grind in pulses for a few seconds, then let the grinder run for about 10 seconds continuously. We got a chopped, precisely chopped, and not crushed, onion. A good result for a salad, but when preparing minced meat, for example, for dumplings or manti, it is just perfect.

Take a small bunch of parsley, remove the large stems, cut the sprigs so that they fit freely in the bowl.

Grind in short pulses. However, we were not able to achieve uniform cutting. Some of the leaves were shredded, others were not cut at all by the knives. Neither the increase in processing time nor the addition of raw materials changed the situation.

Greens chopper cut, frankly, so-so. Therefore, I had to dump the contents of the bowl onto a cutting board and chop the parsley by hand.

Later we repeated the dill test. Also, the leaves with twigs were torn from the stem, cut in half and placed in a bowl. They worked on impulse. The result turned out to be a little better - we didn’t have to cut anything manually, but the result is still not perfect.

Result: great for onions, fair for greens

Baby fruit purees

Finally, we'll prepare something we think the appliance could be good for - baby puree. For example, we decided to take the most banal, but no less demanded and loved by children product - an apple. A couple of medium-sized orchard apples were de-seeded and peeled and microwaved until soft. Then, together with the extracted juice, they were placed in the chopper bowl.

At first they worked with impulses, then, in order to bring the puree to a homogeneous look, they started the grinder for 30 seconds.

The result is a smooth puree.

However, we note that we took apples as a source, which are perfectly boiled soft. In another experiment, we used store-bought hard apples, which retained their elasticity when baked. It was mashed potatoes that did not work out of them - as a result, the mass was soft, finely chopped boiled apples, which is also good as food for accustoming a grown baby to chewing food.

We repeated the experiment with plums. Baked in a microwave oven and crushed in a blender, first in pulses, then for a long time.

The puree turned out not bad, only the skin needs to be removed from the plums - then the mass will be more homogeneous.
