Beans are nutrient-rich and provide fiber as well as a variety of vitamins and minerals. Eating more beans can improve your overall health and reduce your chance of developing diseases such as diabetes, obesity, and certain types of cancers.

You may be wondering if your baby can benefit from eating beans as well. Learn when your baby can start eating beans, the best way to prepare them, and what safety precautions you should take.

Introducing Babies to Beans

Breast milk is the best food for your baby for their first 6 months. Even after your baby starts eating solid foods, milk or formula will still provide half or more of their nutritional needs for their first year. You'll know your baby is developmentally ready for solids when they are around 6 months old and they:

  • Can hold their head up
  • Express interest in your food
  • Can move food from a spoon to the back of their throat
  • Have doubled their birth weight or weigh around 13 pounds

You should wait until your baby is older than 1 year to introduce some foods, such as honey, but there's no need to wait to introduce beans. Beans can be among the first foods you introduce to your baby.

There is no particular order you need to use to introduce solids to your baby. When they are ready, you can start with single-ingredient foods, such as pureed beans. Just make sure you wait a few days before introducing another food so that your baby doesn't have a bad reaction.

Nutritional Benefits of Beans for Babies

Beans are a good source of important micronutrients. These include potassium, magnesium, folate, iron, and zinc. They are also a good source of protein and are high in fiber.

Additionally, beans are one of the only plant foods that provide the essential amino acid lysine. This is necessary for your health, but your body can't make it. You have to get it from your diet.

Beans are also high in fiber and antioxidants. These help to protect your cells against damage from free radicals. Free radicals are produced when your body breaks down food or is exposed to radiation or tobacco smoke.

Studies have shown that children who eat more fiber have higher-quality diets overall. They eat less fat and get more nutrients, including vitamin B-6, magnesium, iron, and potassium.

How to Prepare Beans for Babies

One of the biggest concerns many people have with beans is that they can produce gassiness. This is because beans contain a type of sugar that is difficult for the body to break down, called oligosaccharide.

You can significantly reduce the amount of oligosaccharide in your beans by soaking them before cooking and then discarding the soaking water. Rinse the beans after soaking and cook them in newly poured water. This should help reduce any gassiness that the beans may cause.

When giving your baby beans, choose dried beans instead of canned. Canned foods tend to be high in salt and contain other preservatives. Dried beans have the added benefit of being cheaper. Don't add any salt, sugar, or other spices to the beans when you first offer them to your baby.

For younger babies, you can puree beans until they are smooth. Once your baby is a little older, you can mash beans with a fork for a slightly lumpier texture.

Beans Safety Precautions for Babies

Beans should be a staple in your baby's healthy diet, but you should take some precautions to make sure they are safe for them to eat.

Foodborne illnesses. To avoid illness from improper handling and cooking, there are four steps for cooking beans:

  1. Inspect: Check the dry beans for any foreign materials, such as small rocks or sticks.
  2. Rinse: Rinse the beans thoroughly in cold water.
  3. Soak: Add 5 cups of cold water for each 1 cup of dried beans in a large pot. Bring the water to a boil for 1 to 3 minutes. Cover and let soak for 4 hours.
  4. Cook: Drain and rinse the soaked beans. Add new water and cook.

Following these steps, you'll not only cut down on the gas-producing compounds in beans, but you'll also cut down on antinutrients. In beans, these include lectins and phytates. Antinutrients can block the absorption of some good nutrients. They may also have some benefits, so you don't want to cut them out entirely.

Red kidney beans contain a type of lectin that can be toxic at high levels. When cooking kidney beans, you should take some additional precautions. Increase the soaking time to 5 hours. Make sure you boil them for at least 30 minutes. Finally, don't use a slow cooker to cook kidney beans.

Allergies. There is no evidence that waiting to introduce certain foods beyond 6 months of age reduces the chance of developing an allergy. However, if your baby has severe eczema or an egg allergy, you should have them tested for peanut allergies. You and your pediatrician should discuss the best time to introduce peanuts to your baby.

Age to Introduce, Best Types, Benefits, and More

Beans are highly nutritious and an excellent source of many nutrients, including fiber, folate, magnesium, and plant-based protein.

Even though beans are well known for their health benefits, parents may wonder whether they’re a good choice for babies.

Here’s look at the potential health benefits beans may provide your little one — and how to safely add them into your baby’s increasingly diverse diet.

You can start introducing foods other than breast milk and formula to your little one around 6 months of age. After 6 months, it becomes more difficult for babies to get all the nutrients they need from milk alone. Plus, this is the age at which most babies are developmentally able to handle foods with textures and nutrient compositions that are different than those of milk.

Breast milk or formula should continue to be your baby’s main calorie source.

In fact, it’s suggested that breast milk and/or formula (or cow’s milk after the age of 1) provide one-half of your baby’s energy needs between the ages of 6 and 12 months, and one-third of their energy needs between the ages of 12 and 24 months.

Baby’s first foods should be nutrient-dense and especially rich in several important nutrients, including iron, protein, and calcium.

What’s more, your baby’s ability to handle foods of different sizes and textures changes as they age. While younger babies do best with puréed foods or pastes, older babies can typically handle foods of different sizes and textures, as long as the food is appropriately and safely presented.

Beans and lentils are a good choice for babies because they’re:

  • nutrient-dense
  • soft
  • able to be puréed easily
  • typically bland
  • able to pair well with many different flavors

Beans can usually be added to your baby’s diet around 7 to 10 months of age.

Beans are highly nutritious and associated with many health benefits. For example, beans offer an excellent source of fiber.

Adding fiber-rich foods like beans to your baby’s diet can help reduce their risk of constipation and promote healthy bowel movements. Plus, the specific fibers found in beans help promote a healthy population of gut bacteria.

Also, studies show that babies and young children with high fiber intakes generally consume more nutrients — including iron, magnesium, and potassium — than babies and young children with lower fiber intakes.

In addition to fiber, beans are packed with nutrients that are critical for your baby’s health, including:

  • iron
  • magnesium
  • potassium
  • calcium
  • folate
  • zinc

They’re also a great source of plant-based protein.

Even though beans are highly nutritious, they should be one of many foods that make up your baby’s diet when weaning. The key to providing a balanced, nutritious diet for your baby is ensuring that they’re exposed to an array of foods that offer a variety of nutrients.

There are a number of legumes, including beans and lentils, to choose from. Some good choices to offer your little one include:

  • black beans
  • garbanzo beans
  • kidney beans
  • pinto beans
  • red lentils
  • cannellini beans

Keep in mind that some legumes are associated with food allergies more than others. For example, peanuts and soybeans are common food allergens. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, there are different recommendations regarding when to introduce these foods based on your baby’s risk of allergy.

For this reason, it’s best to consult your pediatrician for advice on when and how to introduce soybean and peanut products to your baby.

Choosing dried beans over canned beans may be the best option, as canned beans tend to be loaded with sodium that’s unnecessary for you, let alone your little one. Bonus: Dried beans and lentils are usually more affordable.

Use simple preparations when introducing beans and lentils to your baby. Simply cooking the beans, puréeing or mashing them (depending on your baby’s age), and offering them plain is best. Mixing them with a fruit, vegetable, or protein source that you know your baby likes may increase the chances of acceptance.

Beans and lentils contain compounds called antinutrients, such as phytic acid and lectins. Antinutrients can make it harder to digest some nutrients, such as iron, calcium, and magnesium.

Fortunately, prep methods like soaking, cooking, and sprouting significantly decrease antinutrients in beans and lentils.

You can purchase sprouted legumes online or in natural food stores and prepare them as you would regular beans and lentils. You can also sprout seeds at home using these directions.

Thoroughly cook all sprouted beans and lentils before offering them to your little one to protect against foodborne illness.

Baby-led weaning (BLW) is a weaning method that involves letting your baby:

  • feed themselves
  • control which foods they would like to try
  • explore the textures and taste of different foods

Unlike traditional weaning, BLW skips puréed foods and instead starts with offering babies small pieces of whole foods from the start to encourage self-feeding. Although BLW has been linked to a variety of potential benefits, more research is needed to better understand both benefits and risks.

Beans are a popular food used by baby-led weaning enthusiasts. Beans and lentils can be made into mashes, bites, or simply smashed into smaller, more manageable bits. Making beans into a paste might be the safest bet for younger babies, as bean skins may get caught in your baby’s mouth or throat.

Check with your doctor if you’re unsure whether beans are a safe option for baby-led weaning.

There are a few things to consider before offering beans and lentils to your little one.

Beans are high in fiber and may cause digestive upset like gas and diarrhea if you give your baby too large of a portion. Start with a very small portion of a tablespoon or so when introducing beans to your baby and increase the portion over time.

Although beans are nutritious, they shouldn’t comprise the bulk of your baby’s diet. Remember to offer your baby a variety of nutrient-dense, whole foods to ensure they’re getting plenty of nutrients.

Lastly, although soybeans and peanuts are common allergens, most beans and lentils are unlikely to cause an allergic reaction in your baby. However, it can happen, so it’s always best to monitor your baby whenever you’re introducing a new food into their diet.

Beans can be a good choice for your baby’s diet. However, it’s essential to offer beans in safe and healthy ways that are appropriate for your baby’s age.

If you have questions about adding beans to your baby’s diet, talk to your pediatrician.

How can I get more out of this guide?

When you're looking after your baby, it's not easy to make time for yourself, but try to set aside 20-30 minutes to read this guide, for example during nap time.

If you continue to be concerned about your baby's eating habits after reading the information below, contact your family doctor or nutritionist/nutritionist for advice. nine0007

Why is a healthy diet so important?

This is important not only here and now. .. What you feed your child in the first years of life affects not only his growth and development, but also his health in the future. It is important to develop healthy habits early on, as the foods fed to infants and young children determine what they will eat later on. Taking action now will help your child develop good habits for the future. Teaching your baby to enjoy food and eating is one of your responsibilities as a parent. nine0007

What happens if my baby doesn't eat healthy...

Not eating a varied, balanced diet can result in being overweight, underweight, or not getting the right amount of nutrients which may affect his health and well-being in the future. Being overweight or obese in a child not only leads to problems in childhood, but can also have a negative impact on health in the future. Obese children are more likely to have low self-esteem and behavioral problems and are more likely to develop cardiovascular disease, diabetes or stroke in the future. However, being underweight can also affect growth and development. nine0007

What should I feed my baby?

Have you ever said the following: “I’m a bad cook”, “I don’t have time to cook everything from scratch”, “I don’t know anything about nutrition”, “I can’t afford to buy good food”, “I not sure if my diet is healthy”, “How do I know what to feed my baby” ? Don't worry, the most important thing is to stay positive and enjoy discovering and learning food with your little one.

The next step is to familiarize yourself with the product groups. This is one of the easiest ways to make sure your little one (and the whole family) is eating a varied and balanced diet. Each food group provides the body with different nutrients, and if you serve food from different food groups throughout the day, you can be sure that your baby gets everything he needs.

The table below shows the product groups:

1. Fruits and vegetables

2. Bread, grain crops and potatoes

3. Meat and other sources of protein

4. Milk and dairy products

Foods high in fat and sugar, such as sweet biscuits, cakes, puddings, ice cream, fat and butter, should be eaten less than others.

From time to time, sweets and chocolates can be offered to babies, but it is better to do this after meals and not during a snack to reduce the risk of tooth decay, and it must also be remembered that such foods should not be eaten more than a couple of times a week.

Here's a helpful guide to food groups with tips on how to include them in your baby's diet.

Product group

Each food group contains a different set of nutrients. Incorporate a variety of foods from each group into your baby's diet throughout the day to ensure your baby gets all the nutrients he or she needs.

Helpful Tips

Follow these practical tips to achieve the right balance.

1. Fruits and vegetables

For vitamins, minerals and fiber.

All varieties are good fresh, frozen or dried. Serve colorful fruits and vegetables (green - cabbage, broccoli; yellow and orange - pumpkin, carrots, mangoes, apricots). Citrus fruits (oranges and tangerines), tomatoes, and bell peppers are rich in vitamin C and help absorb iron from other foods.

Serve five servings per day.

Include with every meal. They are also great for snacking (carrot and apple sticks with sauce, tomato or cucumber on toast).

2. Bread, grain crops and potatoes

for obtaining energy, vitamins, minerals, minerals.

Most babies really like these products. Offer different types of foods from this group, try to include cereals such as oatmeal, buckwheat, brown rice, barley and whole grains (bread, pasta, bulgur, couscous) in the child's diet. For breakfast, you can offer cereal or muesli without sugar or with reduced sugar content. nine0007

Serve five servings per day.

Include with every meal and serve as some snacks. Offer various cereals, boiled or oven-baked potatoes as a side dish.

If your child asks for pizza, use pita bread as a ready-made base or make your own whole wheat dough for homemade pizza.

3. Meat, fish and other sources of protein

For protein and other nutrients, including iron and zinc. Fatty fish - to get omega-3 fatty acids.

Beef, pork, chicken, turkey and other meats, white and fatty fish (canned or fresh), nuts*, eggs and legumes (e. g. beans, lentils and peas, and their products such as hummus or tofu ). nine0007

Serve two servings a day, or three servings a day if your child is a vegetarian.

Fish should be included in the child's diet about twice a day.

4. Milk and dairy products

to obtain the required nutrients, including vitamin A and Calcation. nine0007

Serve three servings daily as milk in a glass, milk-based meals or dairy products.

Kefir, cottage cheese, milk mixture. Give preference to dairy products without added sugar. If desired, you can mix yogurt or cottage cheese with a spoonful of jam or fresh / dried fruits or berries.

Milk is a very important product for your baby. nine0007

* To avoid the risk of suffocation, do not give your baby whole nuts! Chop the nuts or use a nut butter like peanut butter.

What should my baby drink?

Water is the best drink for babies. At the age of 1-3 years, the child should receive approximately 100 ml of liquid per 1 kg of body weight. Half of this volume is desirable to receive with water. Including liquid found in baby's food and drinks. All products contain water, so you need to monitor what your child eats and draw conclusions based on this. Whether the child receives the required amount of fluid per day can be judged by the color of the urine. If the color is dark like the color of apple juice, then this is a clear signal that the child is not getting enough water, but if the urine is light, then everything is fine, the child is drinking enough liquid. nine0007

Offer a glass of water with every meal and snack, and additionally if the baby is active or the weather is hot.

Avoid carbonated and sweetened drinks If you want to give your child compote or fruit juice, do it with meals, making sure that the drink is well diluted to avoid tooth decay. Tea is not suitable for babies as it interferes with the absorption of iron from food and contributes to tooth decay if sugar is added to drinks. nine0007

How much food does a baby need?

Children know best how much food they need, each baby has individual nutritional needs. Some eat more than others, and most eat varying amounts at meals or snacks as the child's appetite varies from day to day and from week to week. Parents often worry about how much food to offer their child, but if you are guided by the needs of your baby, then you are probably doing everything right. nine0007

At the end of this article is a helpful guide to serving sizes for your baby, but remember not to force your baby to eat more than he wants, as you risk the opposite effect.

Things you can do to make sure your baby is feeding properly
  • Establish a regular eating and snacking schedule - Your baby should get all the nutrients and energy he needs from three meals and two to three snacks between them before and after daytime sleep (if the baby still has a quiet hour). nine0007

  • Eat in balance using all food groups, - in addition to nutrients, this combination will provide your baby with a variety of high-calorie and low-calorie foods throughout the day, as well as adding bright colors and different textures to the diet, making it interesting for baby.

  • Try to vary the flavors of the foods you offer your baby - this increases the variety of nutrients your baby gets and doubles the chance of getting the nutrients he or she needs. For example, a dried fruit bar provides a child with valuable nutrients, but it should not be used as a reward for having eaten a previous meal. nine0007

  • Remember to regularly offer your child water - one glass at every meal and snack if your baby is particularly active. Water is the best drink for babies. The total volume of drinks should be approximately 700 ml, including water and milk [local government recommendations depending on the country].

  • Offer your baby all the foods your family eats, as his tastes will change over time. Respect your child's preferences and, if necessary, offer alternative products from the same group if he constantly does not like something, but do not forget to re-offer this product to the child. Eating together will help your little one enjoy the taste of new foods, as children often imitate adults or other children.

Do you feel stress, anxiety and tension when you think about eating?

A picky eater can certainly make you feel anxious, but if you can pull yourself together and plan your meals in advance, you will most likely feel better. nine0004 If meal planning is new to you, don't worry: this practical guide covers all the nuances. Repeat a simple mantra: "Plan, buy, cook, eat" - and you can't go wrong!

How can menu planning help me?

Everyone has their own approach to cooking, but the surest recipe is to open the refrigerator at five o'clock in the evening and cook up dinner for a hungry crowd from leftover food. Thinking a day ahead is a good habit, but thinking a few days or a whole week ahead is even better. nine0004 A regular meal plan helps to avoid situations where the baby "intercepts" during the day and then refuses to eat because he is not hungry. You will be less worried if your child refuses to eat, because you will know that you have planned a good, balanced menu for the day or week. You will not be tempted to give up or start coaxing the baby to eat other foods just so that he "at least eats something."

Below is a guide to planning meals for the week ahead. nine0004

The main thing to remember: don't complicate things! Do not try to anticipate all scenarios and plan all snacks in detail. Focus on your main meals and make a list of quick, easy and healthy snacks you can offer between meals.

9000

My Step-by-Step Guide to Simplified Meal Planning

Keep it simple!

Take the time to do it – Step one: Find time to plan. The first time it will take a little longer and you will have to think, so find a quiet time when no one will distract you. Once you get used to planning it will be quick and easy. Use a notebook to create a reusable menu each week. nine0007

Choose a specific day when it is convenient for you to plan meals for the next week.

Who, where, when? - Not all family members can be at home for every meal, so check the calendar to see who will be where and when. This will help you figure out in advance how many dishes you need to cook and for whom. Your toddler may attend daycare where meals are provided, otherwise you may need to schedule lunch boxes. The other parent may return home late at night or have lunch at work. Can you have dinner with the whole family? Having dinner together is important for a picky eater as it can encourage them to try new foods. nine0007

Focus on the main meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner - and use a list of healthy snacks to offer your baby between meals.

Let everyone get involved - Once you feel more confident with all the family members, engage in your menu planning skills. Ask what they would like to eat; let everyone plan one main meal per week (and help prepare it!). A great way to keep a picky little one interested! Try creating your own food chart with your baby. nine0007

But stay in control! Make sure that the wishes of the child correspond to your possibilities and time. Remind your child that he will help cook!

Know the product groups you are using. Plan family-friendly meals so you avoid overcooking and eat the same food, so your picky little one learns to try new foods that you enjoy eating in his presence. Include in the menu not only familiar and favorite dishes, but also new products or those that the baby has refused before. nine0007

For a tried and tested way, try combining red meat, fish, chicken, and vegan foods (dairy, eggs, and legumes) when planning your main meals for the week.

Make a shopping list - Now that you've decided on your meal plan, check your fridge, freezer and shelves to see what's missing and make a shopping list. Going to the store will be faster and easier because you will know exactly what you need to buy, and you will not have to "reinvent" dishes on the go. In the store, you can use your shopping list to play Treasure Hunt with your baby. Ask your child to find "treasures" for a dish he helped put on the menu, or all the green foods on the list - this is a game that will delight an energetic toddler! nine0006

Serve six to eight glasses of water a day - a glass with every meal and snack if your baby is particularly active or the weather is hot. Water is the best drink for babies. The child should drink about 700 ml of liquid per day, including water and milk. [Recommendation based on data from the Netherlands Nutrition Research Center Voedingscentrum. Local government recommendations depending on the country.]

How to use the Healthy Eating Plate

Here are some ideas for using the Healthy Eating Plate and other ways to diversify your baby's diet. Some of the ideas below are better for older kids.

  • As you begin planning your menu for the week, grab some colored markers and ask your toddler to suggest ideas for dinner. Use the examples on the next page to help guide your child on what foods to eat on the menu. nine0007

  • Babies love to tear and glue. Use old magazines to find images of products that match each sector of Healthy Eating Plates. Ask your picky toddler to find foods he likes and foods he would like to try. Save the images and reuse them to build a collection.

  • If your baby has plastic food toys , they can also be used for meal planning.

  • Take the Healthy Eating Plate to the store and use it as a treasure map. The baby can help you find the foods that he has entered in the "food card" and put them in the cart.

  • Stick the Healthy Eating Plate on your family whiteboard to remind your little one of what's for dinner.

  • If you want to get creative, you can make a large version of the Healthy Eating Plate and laminate it to make a fun wipe-down table pad! nine0007

  • To encourage your toddler to try new foods, use the chart below and ask him or her to think of foods he would like to try. You can put stickers on the Healthy Food Plate to reward your child for trying a new food (or a dish they have previously refused - it can take 10 or more tries!). Remember that you should not force the baby to eat the whole portion; one bite or sip is a good start. Lead by example and eat the same foods at the same time, then the baby will see that the new food is safe to eat. nine0007

  • Use the pencil to fill in the chart below to add the new product your baby has tried,
, to your "Like" list and make room for the new product,
, to your "Would like to try" list.

Ready translation The Lady's Sickly Husband0001

Translator: Antonia

Hearing that Mo Qianxiu was a lady, Nanny Mu instantly smiled at her with a pleasant smile, "It appears that the lady comes to pick the girls personally. I'm sorry if I did something offensive."

Obviously, Nanny Mu was a refined and tactful business person, her words leave no doubt: "My studio has all kinds of servants that can be found throughout Tianxiang City." There is no better place than this. Uncle Yu is very responsible. He came to choose many days ago. Wait, I'll let the girls out."

Mo Qianxiu didn't miss her words and still coldly said, "No, thank you." Have all the girls line up. I will choose myself."

The servant girls would serve her, so they should be to her taste. Why not check everything then, instead of choosing from candidates who were chosen by others first? This was not Mo's life principle. Qianxue, let other people arrange her life.

Mo Qianxue's tone made Nanny Mu understand that she was not a person who was easily manipulated.Nanny Mu's smile was not extinguished, but blossomed brighter. She clapped her hands, "Girls, come out." . nine0007

Mo Qianxiu had to admit that Nanny Mu was a good teacher. With her clapping, the girls standing outside immediately blended into one row, and the rest of the girls coming out from the inside also immediately stood in a neat row.

Mo Qianxue's eyes scanned dozens of young girls who were mostly twelve or thirteen years old. In the modern era, they had to go to high school, but here they already had to work to support themselves.

All of these girls had unhealthy faces and their clothes were worn but clean. Mo Qianxue nodded. She hated things to be dirty or dirty. Hygiene was the top priority. nine0007

But it was not easy to choose two girls from so many people.

She only needed two servants. One must be a good cook, and the other must be excellent at embroidery. Of course, both of them must be smart and be able to read the air.

These girls also secretly touched Mo Qianxue. Her elegant manner, her clear voice, her direct eyes were much more pleasant than those arrogant butlers or nannies from large families, damned snobs, who often came here.

Therefore, by intuition honed in such an environment, they immediately realized that this woman must be a kind person, and that a happy life awaits her if she buys it. At least they won't be beaten, cursed or starved for no reason. nine0007

With two sides touching each other, the courtyard was instantly quiet.

However, after a moment of silence, most of the girls standing in the courtyard rushed to Mo Qianxue and knelt in front of her, shouting one after another, "Mistress, I can cook and wash." Please choose me."

"Madame, I can make the bed. Please take me back."

Mo Qianxiu frowned. The nanny had just taught them how to use honor, but they forgot in just a few minutes and still used the first name. She did not emphasize social class, but she did not like and did not want dealing with people who don't listen after repetition and have no sense of propriety.0007

Seeing Mo Qianxiu's frown, Nanny Mu sternly looked at these girls and snored, which immediately silenced them. But still, their eyes, looking up, were filled with begging and expectation.

Mo Qianxue then shifted her eyes to the girls leaving the house. Although their eyes were also expected, they stood where they were respected and awaited orders.

Mo Qianxue's cold face turned to the rushing girls, "Those who are in a hurry, stand aside." Then she turned away and pointed to the educated: "You, come here." nine0007

The hurried girls were so upset that they even shed a few tears at once, but Nanny Mu's piercing eyes did not let them move again.

Pretty girls' eyes were instantly on their lips.

Mo Qianxiu counted, and there were twenty. "Those who know how to cook stand on the left; those who know embroidery stand on the right; those who literally stand in the middle. "

Soon the twenty people were divided into three groups. Several hesitation in group selection was immediately eliminated by Mo Qianxue, because those who did not even know their advantages could not be smart people. nine0007

Fifteen left.

She went to the left and was sweeping the girls: "Hold out your hands."

Although her voice was not loud or completely dominant, the traces of cold in it made her sound authoritative. The girls, in fluoresce, put their hands out.

Could girls with dirty nails and hands prepare hygienic food? After this check, only two girls remained.

Mo Qianxue asked two seemingly random questions and left one of them.

This girl had straight eyes. At first glance, Mo Qianxue knew that she was a simple and benevolent person. nine0007

In the same way, Mo Qianxue chose a delicate and shy girl with a penchant for embroidery from the crowd.

With a gentle face and a shy look, the girl's eyes were clear and flexible, indicating a kind of intelligence and love among her purity and innocence.

Moreover, even though her clothes were worn out and fixed with plasters, the plasters were in the shape of lotus flowers. This meant that she had a diligent hand, an intelligent mind and good taste.

As for the literal group, it was just a pretense. On closer examination, she found that all the girls in this group showed arrogance, as well as a ghost of frivolity hidden between the eyebrows. nine0007

The servants she wanted to buy were not concubines for Ning Shaoqing, but for other clans. She couldn't afford to feed these people at home.

After selecting the girls she wanted, Mo Qianxue turned to Nanny Mu and asked, "How much are these two girls?"

As a human trafficking business, Nanny Mu had sharp eyes. In fact, she really loved and appreciated these two chosen girls for their appearance and temperament, because after one or two years of training, they would most likely be sold as a dowry to a girl or an old man's concubine, either of which at a fairly high price. nine0007

So she hesitated.

Uncle Yu understood her hesitation and smiled, "Nanny Mu, do you want to sell them? Butler Zhang, who introduced me to you, has bought people here many times. I come here because I trust him. But if you hesitate to sell, I'll go somewhere else. I'm afraid that Zhang the butler will trust you too."

Hearing that she might lose a regular customer, Nanny Mu hurried to stop hesitating and laughed, "No, manager Yu. You misunderstood me. I'm thinking about the price. I bought these two girls ten taels of silver each. Considering your face, I I only add five for each, so there's a total of thirty taels of silver. What do you think?" nine0007

Uncle Yu shook his head, "Nanny Mu, don't think I'm unfamiliar with your industry just because I'm in the wine business." Such girls cost a maximum of five taels. Isn't it too unfair that the price increases many times after your training?"

Nanny Mu didn't blush at all when her trick was exposed, and only smiled, "Good. Let's be frank. How about twenty? After all, Manager Yu, I have to earn some money for my hard work."

Uncle Yu looked at Mo Qianxue, and when she nodded, the price was settled. Nanny Mu took the upset girls to the room and then went inside to take the contracts from the two girls.

Mo Qianxue paid the money, took over the contracts, and left with two girls.

The two girls knelt down and bowed to Mo Qianxue with all due respect to their new mistress, and then excitedly followed Mo Qianxue back to the winery in Tingfengkuan.

Mo Qianxue took pity on them in shabby clothes, especially the girl who knew how to cook in a dress filled with heaps of plasters, so she ordered Au to buy two ready-made clothes for them. nine0007

However, two sets of simple coarse cotton clothes set the girls' eyes on fire. They bowed in gratitude, hurried into the room to change, and then dutifully left.

As they say, the tailor makes the man! After they changed, they looked cleaner and more pleasing to the eye.

Uncle Yu couldn't help but nod and praised himself for his lady's good eyesight, smiling, "Lady, your eyesight is good." These two girls look really good. The Lord won't like them."

It's great that she liked the people she chose. What does this have to do with the hidden master?

Mo Qianxu grumbled in secret, but at the same time was pleased with her choice, so she chatted with Uncle Yu for a while before taking the carriage back to the village.

As for Asan, after sneaking into Jian's mansion, he inquired about Fifth Lady Jian Qinghua's court and went there.

Jian Qinghua felt depressed in his room. The plan didn't work yesterday and also let her second brother fall from the high window. When she arrived, he had long since passed out. nine0007

As a result of the fall, his chest bone was dislocated. The doctor came to set up the bone and said that he was all right and that he would be better if he lay in bed for a few days to rest.

However, somehow, last night, in a coma, her second brother, who couldn't move at all, fell off the bed to the ground again. The cold weather not only worsened his condition, but also allowed him to constantly catch a fever to talk all sorts of nonsense. nine0007

Those stupid servants!

Cursing the servants, she took off the shoe she took in the office of the second master Jian, murmured: Mo Qianxue, although you left yesterday, I still have a common language with you.

With this shoe, she can threaten her. The woman's boot has been reused. As long as the right one was used, she could never escape the sin of innocence.

As long as she panicked and stopped advancing, her goal would surely have been achieved. nine0007

Holding a shoe in her hands, she was proud of her cunning when a man broke through the window.

Subconsciously, Jian Qinghua shouted "Ah."

Asan ignored her scream and tossed her a letter he had bought from a calligraphy scholar at the market before quietly flying out of Jiang's mansion.

Jian Qinghua certainly recognized Asang. He was the cold-blooded guard who almost kicked her out of Ning's house last time.

Holding this letter in his hands, Jian Qinghua was excited. Mr. Ning must have changed his mind. nine0007

The servants and the nanny hurried to hear the cry: "Lady, what happened?"

Jian Qinghua hurriedly hid the letter in her sleeve and shook her head, "Nothing." A rat ran. I was dumbfounded."

"Oh. Then I can wait here in case the rat ran away again and scared you..." The nanny consoled her lady, wondering where this rat could come from? Probably those lazy girls who didn't clean the room. Later she should give them

Hearing this, Jian Qinghua quickly waved his hand at her, “No. It doesn't matter. "Go and rest. I want to be here alone." nine0007

Yes. Nanny saw a smile in her lady's eyes, who seemed to be in a good mood and was confused.

A minute ago, after visiting the second young lord, she returned with a weeping face. Now, after being grabbed by the rat, she smiled with joy. Doubting, the nanny left on orders.

As soon as she left, Jian Qinghua couldn't wait to open the envelope. He wrote: Tomorrow at noon, let's meet in the peach forest at Hanshan Temple to rid me of love. nine0007

Mr. Ning wanted to meet me?! Wonderful! Finally he understood my advantages.

To save him from love sickness! He must fall in love with me after that day. It must be Mrs. Ning's bad words that he misunderstood me and showed dislike the other day...

It took an hour to get back to Van Village. Mo Qianxue didn't plan to remain still looking at each other with the two girls, so she began to chat with them. To her surprise, they knelt down again and answered: madam, please name us. nine0007

Mo Qianxue thought about it and remembered that in the big mansions, this seemed to be the rule. So she decided to act accordingly, but momentarily couldn't think of good names.

Looking at their proper manner and remembering Nanny Mu's discipline words, she suddenly felt a brainwave and pointed to the one who was cooking, "You are Mingyue. "

And then to the one who knew needlework: "You Kaisya."

Let's watch the series "Pearl Princess". Consequently, she burst into laughter. nine0007

Mingyu and Kaixia didn't know what their lady was laughing at, and looked at each other and swore to her, "Thank you for calling us, lady."

Mo Qianxiu then asked about their marital status.

She could be more confident if she knew more about the people serving around her.

Also, from the chat, she could find out what kind of people they were, so that in the future she could apply proper methods to manage them.

Mingyue, only twelve years old, was younger than Kaisha. Her mother gave birth to six daughters in a row before the family finally gave birth to a son. However, the boy was in poor condition from birth. nine0007

He was often sick, and in order to cover the cost of medicine, the poor family could not make ends meet for a long time. They often skipped a couple of meals. When there was something good from time to time, it should be saved for the little brother.

As the old saying goes, the poorer the family, the more children it has; and the more children she has, the poorer she becomes.

They borrowed money from all their relatives, so later, even when grandparents got to know them, they tried to avoid meeting before exchanging greetings. nine0007

Last month, her younger brother fell ill again, but there was no money to send for a doctor. At the end of the rope, the father decided to be merciless and sell her, the biggest child and little sister.

Her younger sister was very young, only five years old. A few days ago, when someone came to buy servants, the buyer chose many flaws and bargained with Mu-nanny for a long time, so finally Nanny Mu gave her little sister to the buyer for free.

Speaking of this, Mingyue did not complain about the heartlessness of her parents, but wept that her younger sister was deprived of love and care at such a young age. nine0007

Kaisha's parents died young, so she lived with her brother and daughter-in-law. The daughter-in-law was a greedy woman and wanted to sell her to a wealthy local old man as a concubine.

The old man was in his sixties, and the grandchildren were older than her. Besides, by that time he was lying motionless in bed. So she married him as a concubine.

If an accident happened and the old man died, she would be buried with him.

Of course she didn't want to, so she ran away at night. nine0007

Mo Qianxue did not expect such a seemingly shy and fragile girl to dare to run away from marriage. Appearances were indeed deceiving.

When she ran away and was later caught by her families, the "good time" was missed and the old man kicked the bucket. Due to the fact that the money was not received, the cold-blooded daughter-in-law decided to sell it.

Her brother was a coward. With so many mouths in the family, and because his own children were often starving, he didn't have the strength to take care of her. The day she was sold, he didn't even show up to say goodbye to her. nine0007

The girls were talking about their former lives, not screaming out loud, but shedding tears from their eyes non-stop.

As the famous sentence written by Tolstoy says: Happy families are alike, but unhappy families are unhappy in their own way.

They come from simple families and remain innocent and pure, as they have been sold out more than once. Mo Qianxu sympathized with them and at the same time was confident in himself.

She helped them dry their tears and consoled them, "Minggyue, Kaixia, from today on, you are my close servants." As long as you do your job, I promise to provide for you and never sell you out."

"Thank you, lady." They thanked and were about to kneel down again, but they were stopped by Mo Qianxue. She wasn't in the habit of taking it all the time. It was fine, if only due respect was shown. Too much politeness would have made her uncomfortable.

Then she softly said, "Don't be afraid. We'll be families in the future.
