Servings:

  • Recipe serving size: 1/4 cup of purée
  • Number of servings:
  • 1/2 ripe, fresh avocado, halved, pitted and peeled
  • 1/2 firm Bartlett or Anjou pear, chopped
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice, fresh squeezed
  • 1 cup water

Instructions:

  1. Place the avocado in a blender or food processor.
  2. Rinse pear. Chop up half of pear and place pear in a small pot with 1 cup water and 1 teaspoon lemon juice. Bring to simmer for 5 minutes until pear is soft. Remove pear from water and place in the blender or food processor with avocado.
  3. Blend until smooth.
  4. Serve immediately or refrigerate in a covered container.

Select your container size: 64-ounce Low-Profile 64-ounce Classic 48-ounce

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon (225 g) pear, seeded, quartered, steamed
  • 1 Tablespoon (200 g) avocado, halved, seeded, peeled
  • 1 Tablespoon (400 g) mango, peeled, seeded, halved and steamed

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
  2. Select Variable 1.
  3. Start the machine, and increase to its highest speed.
  4. Blend for 1 minute., using the tamper to push ingredients into the blades.

Chef's Notes

Make a larger batch and freeze in ice cube trays to serve to your child later. This recipe can easily be doubled in the 64 ounce container. Avocado is a perfect first food to give babies. ½ cup plain oatmeal (boiled), ½ cup pear puree (mashed with a fork or blended), ½ cup sugar-free yogurt.

Preparation:

Mix oatmeal with yogurt, then top with pear puree and stir. You can add a pinch of vanilla, ginger or cinnamon. This dish is suitable for toddlers who are learning how to use cutlery.

You will need:

3 pears, a pinch of cinnamon, vanilla or ginger.

Preparing :

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.

2. Cut the pears in half, remove the center.

3. Place the pears in a shallow baking dish, add water - 2.5 cm.

        You will need:

        • 2 kg pears - soft, yellow;
        • 2 kg apples - Golden, McIntosh or other sweet varieties;
        • 2 glasses of bottled drinking water.

        Procedure

        1. Wash the fruit, cut off the skin and remove the seeds. Grind into small pieces, put in an enamel pan or cauldron, add water and put on fire.
        2. Reduce the heat as soon as the water begins to boil so that the puree does not burn. Stir constantly with a wooden spatula. If you have a slow cooker, you can cook in it and not worry about the food burning. You don't even need to stir. Turn on the "Cooking" program for a third of an hour.         3. When hard fruits become soft, they must be puréed using a food processor or blender. Then heat until air bubbles start to form and roll up immediately.

        With sugar

        You will need:

        • 300 gr each of apples and pears;
        • 1. 5 tbsp. l. sugar and water.

        Cook in this order:

        2. Place them in a saucepan and add 1.5 tablespoons of water. Cover with a lid, put on low heat and cook for half an hour after boiling.
        3. Blend cooked fruit with an immersion blender. Add sugar to the puree, stir and cook for about 3 minutes after boiling. Stir constantly. It is advisable to use a wooden appliance.
        4. Pour the hot puree into sterilized jars and seal immediately. Turn on lids and wrap in a blanket until the dessert has cooled. nine0127

        Store it in the cellar, but you can also store it in the pantry.

        With condensed milk

        Ingredients (for 1.5-2 liters):

        • apples - 2. 5 kg;
        • sweetened condensed milk (without vegetable fat) - 0.25 l;
        • pears - 1 kg;
        • water - 0.25 l.

        Preparation:

        1. Peel the fruit and cut into small cubes or slices. nine0127
        2. Place pear and apple slices in a saucepan and add water to them.
        3. Bring the contents of the pot to a boil and cook, stirring, until the fruit is soft.
        4. Puree fruit with a blender or pass through a sieve.
        5. Add condensed milk. Simmer the mixture over low heat until the puree reaches the desired thickness. Cooking time should not be less than 10 minutes.
        6. Sterilize jars and boil suitable lids.
        7. Fill containers with pear-apple dessert and seal tightly. nine0127
        8. Leave canned food to cool upside down under a warm blanket.
        Puree according to this recipe is tasty and tender, moderately sweet and with a pleasant sourness.

        Store in a cool place. Enough cellar, basement or unheated pantry.

        In a slow cooker

        A very tasty mix of pears and apples without added sugar. These crops fruit at the same time and are often stored together.

        Moreover, the taste of apple does not interrupt pear. The combination is quite pleasant, but not cloying.

        It is better to cook this miracle in a slow cooker. So for its preparation it will take a minimum of effort, and the result will be amazing. This puree can also be given to young children as a supplement.

        You will need:

        • 1 apple;
        • 2 pears;
        • 50 ml of water.

        Preparation

        Deal with fruit first. Rinse them well and cut out any bruised or rotted areas. Then peel and core.

        Cut the pulp into pieces and place in the multicooker bowl. Pour in water immediately.

        Close the multicooker with a lid and select the menu function "Baking" or "Cooking". Cook for 20 minutes until fruits are tender.

        Boil the mixture for 3-4 minutes and pour into sterile jars while still hot.
