If there’s a rumbly in your tumbly, then this calls for a Winnie the Pooh baby shower!

Whether or not you know the gender, get carried away by Pooh and his friends with this beautiful, gender-neutral baby shower.

Winnie the Pooh Invitations

Aside from all of the characters from Winnie the Pooh, you need to have a guest list so that you can send out those Winnie the Pooh invitations!

Don’t waste your money on invites at the store that everyone has already seen, though.  Go for something unique for such a special occasion.  By ordering the invites online from Etsy, you are supporting a small business while getting a product that’s custom made!

These adorable ones are from Ashwood Ink, featuring Pooh and some of his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood, Piglet and Eeyore. What I adore about this bundle is the “Please Bring a Book” note, asking guests to bring a book instead of a card. What a sweet way to build baby’s library!

Winnie the Pooh Baby Shower Decorations

“Nobody can be uncheered with a balloon,”  and nobody says it quite like Winnie the Pooh!  There really is no theme-specific colors unless you choose your own, when when it comes to balloons and streamers, these colors are solely up to you.  A few other Winnie the Pooh baby shower decoration ideas:

Winnie the Pooh and Friends

This is a must.  Stuffed animals are also great for favors and prizes, or for the mama-to-be to save for the baby.  Make sure somewhere in the room, you have Pooh attached to a bundle of balloons and “drifting away.”

Honey Pots

Paint flower pots to look like honey pots from Winnie the Pooh, plant flowers in them and viola!  You have beautiful room decorations or table centerpieces!

This is a great opportunity to pick out a special gift that Mama can keep for lasting memories of her adorable shower!

Hundred Acre Wood

The home of Winnie the Pooh.  Decorate the main table, gift table, or whatever big table that will be used a lot as the Hundred Acre Wood by using tree stumps, branches, fake grass, and the characters.  You can get really creative with this one; it’s a cute idea.

Special thanks to Lynlee’s Petite Cakes for this adorable Winnie the Pooh Baby Shower design!

Winnie the Pooh Themed Food- And it’s not just hunny!

Let’s face it, one of the reasons why baby shower’s are so enjoyable is because of the good food!  Food is essential for any shower, and can also really add to the shower’s theme.  As far as Winnie the Pooh baby shower food ideas, I’ve made these picks:

Beehive Cupcakes

These are any flavor cupcake that you desire, with the frosting on top decorated to look like a beehive with bees on it.  Pooh loves honey and honey is stored in hives!

Tigger Tail Pasta Salad

This is pasta salad made with the twisted pasta so that the pasta noodles resemble tigger’s tail.  You may choose to dye the pasta orange to give it more of a “Tigger-effect” or leave it as-is.

Piglets in Blankets

Just pigs in a blanket with a much cuter, pooh-ier name!  Nothing special is required for these, other than a cute sign by the plate.

Honey Lemonade

Every shower needs a themed drink, and this is it!  Serve up this delicious honey lemonade recipe on a warm afternoon for a refreshing beverage everyone at the shower will enjoy!

Winnie the Pooh Themed Baby Shower Games & Activities

When it comes to fun, the characters of Winnie the Pooh know how to do it best.  Skip the baby shower game basics and try these great ideas for a Winnie the Pooh baby shower!

Find and Pin the Tail on Eeyore

Poor Eeyore has lost his tail again!  Hide “Eeyore tails” in plain site around the room, each guest must find one, then get blindfolded and try to pin it in place on Eeyore, most likely sitting over there in the corner. For this printable game poster, head on over to the Etsy shop LaArtistaSamantha.

Tigger’s Bouncy Race

This requires medium-sized yoga balls and willing participants.  Basically, the contestants must compete in a bouncy race across the room!

Christopher Robin’s Scavenger Hunt

This is a scavenger hunt through the Hundred Acre Wood!  Follow the clues given at each stop to the next, and whoever reaches the finish first is the grand prize winner!  (You choose the prize, of course!)

The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh

Whether you play the movie as a feature during the baby shower, or just in the background for added whimsy, the film “The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh” is almost a necessity for a Winnie the Pooh themed baby shower. Make sure you include some popcorn for your movie-watchers!

Winnie the Pooh Party Favors and Game Prizes

It was Winnie the Pooh who said “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” Make it memorable with party favors.

Honey Bears

Send your guests off with a sweet thank you and goodbye by giving away those bear-shaped bottles of honey, little jars of honey,  or even those wooden honey dippers!  It doesn’t get much sweeter or more aPOOHpriate than honey!

Honey Candies

Another option is to give your guests a little sweet treat in the form of honey flavored candies! I bet Pooh would love these deliciously sticky drops! Put them in a glass jar with a string and tag for a quick and easy favor.

Bouquets of Flowers

Bees love flowers, bees make honey, Pooh loves honey… it just feels right! Put them in a cute keepsake vase for an even sweeter presentation

Burt’s Bees Anything!

I am an avid believer in giving favors and baby shower prizes that people will actually want! These honey beeswax lip balms make awesome favors for your guests, while a gift set would make a great prize for winners of your baby shower games!

10 frightening theories about the true meaning of children's cartoons and films

1.

The killing spell is known to Muggles for a reason A still from the film "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"

In the Harry Potter film series and in the novels of JK Rowling, Death Eaters use a spell to kill "Avada Kedavra". It looks suspiciously like the word "abracadabra" Abracadabra, which in reality has been known to people since at least the end of the 2nd century.

Most likely, Rowling simply modified the lexeme familiar to her, combining "abracadabra" and "cadaver" (cadaver, which means "corpse"). However, fans of the magical universe have suggested I think the name of the killing curse, Avada Kedavra, is purposefully similar to the famous muggle 'magic words' "Abra Kadabra", and hints at a violent history between muggles and wizards.(x‑post r/harrypotter) that the reason for the existence of the word "abracadabra" is much more sinister.

It's possible that wizards used this spell to exterminate Muggles for centuries in the past, just for fun. Over time, ordinary people forgot about the existence of sorcerers, but the killing curse was deposited in their memory as "abracadabra".

2. Homer Simpson — flathead

Still from the animated series "The Simpsons"

The animated series about the yellow family has been going on for more than three decades. And some of his fans believe that most of this time the main character, Homer Simpson ... lies in a coma. And the events taking place in the series, only dream of him.

Theorists believe Homer Simpson is a vegetable in a coma, and has been for over 20 years that Homer never recovered from the coma he fell into in the April 1, 1993 episode.

Prior to this, the plots of The Simpsons were quite realistic: the head of the family is trying to stop drinking, Marge thinks he is cheating on her, Lisa is in love with her teacher... Grammys, creatures like the Loch Ness monster, supervillains and real-life celebrities appear on the screen.

And the age of the characters does not change at all during this time. The head of the family remembered Bart, Lisa and Maggie when they were 10, 8 and 1 years old, so they are always the way we used to know them. So everything you saw in the animated series is just a delusional dream of a vegetative-state Homer Simpson on life support for decades.

Series producer Al Jean actually heard about this theory and says Has Homer Simpson actually been in a COMA for the last 20 years? that it's all nonsense. But, after all, what could he even know about the Simpsons?

3. Winnie the Pooh - Christopher Robin's delusional fantasy

A frame from the cartoon "Winnie the Pooh"

A group of researchers from the Department of Pediatrics at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada, studied the work "Winnie the Pooh" by Alan Alexander Milne. They wrote a joke article Word for Word/Of Little Brain; Ritalin to the Rescue: A Children’s Story for Our Time on the theme of hidden images in this tale and provoked an avalanche of letters from readers who took the information at face value. Although, as they say, in every joke there is some truth.

The article states that the main character of the fairy tale is not Pooh the teddy bear, but his owner, the boy Christopher Robin. He has schizophrenia, so he believes he lives in a magical forest. And he takes the toys around him for living beings.

And since he invents their personalities himself, he subconsciously endows them with his own traits.

Thus, the character of Winnie the Pooh with "only sawdust in his head" hints at the possibility of microcephaly in a child. The bear also shows signs of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Piglet suffers from generalized anxiety disorder, Eeyore from clinical depression and passive-aggressive personality disorder, Owl is dyslexic, Rabbit is a psychopath with obsessive control delusions, and Tigger is simply prone to self-destruction and risk to the point of recklessness.

All these creatures are parts of Christopher's personality. And the boy obviously needs qualified help.

4. Aladdin's adventures take place in a post-apocalyptic world

Frame from the cartoon Aladdin

Aladdin is set in the fictional eastern city of Agrabah. In theory, the events took place a long time ago. But there are a couple of inconsistencies.

First, Genie constantly allows himself references to celebrities of the 20th century, such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Groucho Marx and Jack Nicholson. He also uses items that could not have appeared in the Ancient East: sunglasses, a top hat, a tuxedo and modern playing cards.

Secondly, in one of the scenes, the Genie mockingly calls Aladdin is actually in the future Aladdin's unfashionable "Third Age" clothes. The genie was locked in a lamp for 10,000 years, and it is unlikely that he was put there in the Paleolithic. If the last time he got acquainted with the fashion industry was in the 3rd century, then the cartoon takes place around the year 10300.

The only explanation why humanity does not colonize other planets at this time, but lives in sand-filled cities in the style of the Eastern Middle Ages, is the post-apocalypse.

Civilization has fallen, only Arabic and, to a lesser extent, Greek and Indian cultures have survived. Islam has changed so that now Muslims do not pray regularly, but remember the name of Allah only in happy moments. There are no prayer rugs, mosques and imams either. Agrabah is a corruption of Arabia.

Still from the cartoon "Aladdin"

Perhaps flying carpets, and genetically engineered parrots that can understand human speech, and not just imitate it, and semi-intelligent monkeys are artifacts of a lost civilization that the inhabitants of Agrabah consider magic.

More evidence for this theory can be found in the 1993 Sega Genesis game Aladdin Aladdin Is Set In A Distant Post-Apocalyptic Future. There are two items that do not belong to the Ancient East: an unexploded nuclear bomb and a road sign "Stop" lost in the sand. Apparently, humanity survived the monstrous atomic war and degraded until the Middle Ages.

And the merchant at the beginning of the cartoon is a Genie who has taken on a human form. Creators Confirm ‘Aladdin’ Directors Actually Confirm Major Fan Theory.

5. Nemo doesn't really exist

A still from the cartoon "Finding Nemo"

At the beginning of the cartoon, the clownfish Marlin loses his wife, Coral. She dies in the teeth of the barracuda, and with it all their caviar. A single father carefully raises his only son Nemo and, when he is lost, goes in search of him. But it's entirely possible that Marlin was chasing a figment of his imagination, as What 'fan theories' have blown your mind with their devastating logic? Reddit user, Nemo doesn't exist.

In fact, Marlin's entire family perishes. Left alone, he cannot cope with grief and goes crazy.

Trying to find some solace, Marlin imagines that one of his children survived. The film is an allegory of the father going through five stages.

Denial: Marlin refuses to let Nemo go to school because he thinks it's not safe. Anger: The father scolds the son for his disobedience. Bargaining: The hero teams up with the amnesiac Dory, who helps him find Nemo. Despair: Marlin sees his son being washed down the drain. Acceptance: He learns to “let go” of the past.

The cartoon ends with the father saying goodbye to his son and he disappears over the horizon… I mean under the seabed. Plus, the very name Nemo is translated from Latin as "no one" (a no-call reference to the novel "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea").

6. Nemo exists, and his father is looking for him with well-defined intentions

Still from the cartoon "Finding Nemo"

There is another theory about the painting "Finding Nemo". She was nominated by Finding Nemo lied to your kids, and they will do it again in the sequel: Finding Dory! North Carolina ichthyologist Patrick Cooney. It is unlikely that the creators of the cartoon really put such a meaning into it ... Although who knows? Patrick on his blog describes what the scenario would be like if the animators knew the biology of fish:

Clownfish tending their sea anemone eggs when the mother eats a barracuda. Nemo hatches from the egg as an undifferentiated hermaphrodite, as all clown fish are supposed to. At the same time, his father naturally changes his gender after losing his mate and becomes a female.

Since Nemo is the only other clownfish in the movie besides Marlin, he will become a male and mate with his father to continue the lineage. If his father dies, Nemo will change sex, become a female and mate with any other male.

This is how all clownfish behave: they are protandrous. Juveniles are males, but change sex during life. The stimulus for this is the death of the female.

So Nemo's father is now his mother. And future girl.

7. Dinosaurs in Jurassic Park are not dinosaurs

A still from the movie Jurassic Park

93, viewers were impressed by how cool the dinosaurs were. Steven Spielberg and his team, using animatronics and breakthrough computer graphics at the time, created memorable prehistoric reptiles that still look spectacular today.

But, although they looked quite realistic from a scientific point of view at the time of the film's release, paleontology has come a long way since then. Scientists now know that dinosaurs have much more in common with their bird descendants. And so their modern, more authentic appearance is different from what we saw in the film.

According to , the dinosaurs didn't look like they did in Jurassic Park. But as? paleontologist Steve Brusatte, a real Tyrannosaurus rex, for example, would look like a huge fanged wingless bird the size of a bus. Velociraptors were actually the size of a poodle.

It is now known that almost all prehistoric reptiles had plumage in one form or another. Therefore, the 2015 film Jurassic World was criticized for showing outdated imagery of dinosaurs.

But fans of the classic Jurassic Park have found an explanation for Jurassic Park: There was no "dino DNA" to the discrepancy between the appearance of real dinosaurs and those creatures kept on Isla Nublar. In fact, John Hammond came up with a story about extracting dinosaur DNA from amber. Dr Susie Maidment of the Natural History Museum in the UK confirms Could scientists bring dinosaurs back to life? that no DNA is preserved in blood-sucking insects frozen in amber.

Hammond's "Dinosaurs" are artificially created genetic chimeras that have nothing in common with real prehistoric reptiles. They look the way visitors to the park would expect them to.

Hammond frowned again:

— But then the dinosaurs wouldn't be real.

- Yes, they are not real even now! Wu sighed. This is what I am trying to explain to you. There is nothing real here at all.

Michael Crichton

Jurassic Park

It is noteworthy that Michael Crichton in the original novel was much more scientifically pedantic. He mentions that the park's dinosaurs are not identical to real dinosaurs. And geneticist Henry Wu, when creating monsters, used a lot of third-party DNA from reptiles, amphibians and birds to restore the missing fragments of the genome and “improve” his creations.

8. Cannibal Willy Wonka

Still from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

When you were a child, you must have been amused by the antics of the crazy but funny protagonist of the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. If you rewatch the film as an adult, you will realize that this psycho is a megalomaniac dictator who keeps Oompa-Loompa pygmies in slavery in his factory and amuses himself by bullying children.

There is a very logical-looking theory [X-post /r/Showerthoughts] Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is the children's version of Saw, proving that Wonka is a serial killer who lures children into terrible traps.

For example, August Gloop got stuck in a chocolate pumping pipe and possibly died from hypoxia. And Violet was poisoned by chewing gum, which made her bloated and turned blue - reminiscent of necrosis. According to Willy Wonka, the girl will be pierced to drain the blueberry juice and return her to her normal shape. And a boy named Mike Wonka was mutilated in a toffee stretching machine. Knocking out limbs is a torture known since the Middle Ages.

Everything in this shop is edible. Even I [Willy Wonka] is edible, but that's called cannibalism, my dear children, and is not welcome in most societies.

Roald Dahl

"‎Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"

And some especially attentive fans find evidence that the owner of the factory not only kills his victims, but also eats them, and also uses them as ingredients.

Evidence of this is found in the excised chapter "Spotty Powder," the Lost Chapter from Roald Dahl's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", Miranda Mary Piker of Roald Dahl's original novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, called "Spotty Powder". The London Times published it in 2005. In it, the Oompa-Loompas, on Wonka's orders, send the girl Miranda Piker into a mixer to make powdered sugar out of her.

9. Tarzan was bullied because of the size of his penis

Frame from the cartoon "‎Tarzan"

If you watched the cartoon "‎Tarzan", you might well have a question: why does the main character wear a loincloth? After all, he was raised by gorillas, and their clothes are not in use. And there was no way he could find out that walking completely naked among people is considered indecent.

One Reddit user suggested [Tarzan] Why he wears a loincloth that the reason for the psychological trauma suffered by the young Tarzan.

You may know that of all primates, humans have the largest genitalia. Take a look at this chart if you don't believe me (don't worry, there's nothing obscene in there). Scientists believe that the reason is in the upright posture of people. In gorillas, however, everything is much more modest with this: the erect penis of an adult male The penis in animals has a length of about 4 centimeters. In addition, it is hidden under thick fur. And Tarzan is not so good with hair.

Since childhood, the guy was surrounded by peer gorillas, and they could well mock him because of the disproportionate (from their point of view) size of his penis.

This caused Tarzan to have complexes, and he began to cover himself by making himself a loincloth. And even when the gorillas truly accepted him into their clan, he could not get rid of the mental trauma and continued to wear it.

In addition, Tarzan's larger penis may well have been perceived by primates as a sign of aggression. And considering that male gorillas often kill male cubs so that they do not compete with them for females in the future, the hero had much more good reasons to hide behind than banal shame.

10. Kevin McCallister - Death Constructor

Still from the movie "Home Alone"

Finally, a simple theory that Kevin McCallister is the real name of John Kramer, a maniac from the Saw horror series. How else to explain the propensity of a little boy to brutally maim people in a wide variety of ways? He burns the robbers with a red-hot doorknob, hits with an iron, electric shock, uses a burner and throws people off the stairs ... ] did not find confirmation among Reddit users, since John Kramer's past was well covered in the Saw series and it is known that he began to design his terrible "trials" as an adult.
