OH MY GOODNESS!! I am in LOVE. I've had my eyes on baprons for a while but we had some silicone "pelican bibs" that were working just fine for our daughter (18 months old).

In this article, we will consider the features of an apron for feeding a child on the street, give the names of the most popular manufacturers of such products and tell you how you can sew such a cape yourself.
Features of the newborn feeding apron
A good feeding apron has the following features that make the process of feeding the baby as comfortable as possible:
- due to the presence of straps on the neck and back, you can adjust the position of the baby;
- rigid inserts at the top of the apron allow mother and baby to make eye contact during feeding;
- the wide floors of the apron hide the baby from prying eyes and reliably protect it from the wind;
- When folded, the feeding apron takes up very little space;

How to sew a nursing apron?
You don't even need a pattern to sew an apron for outdoor feeding. Using the instructions we have proposed, any woman can do this:
- From the base material, cut out rectangular pieces measuring 90x50 cm; 7.5×23 cm; 7.5 × 60 cm. From the additional piece - a piece 90 × 16.5 cm. From decorative fabric for making a bow - pieces 20 × 90 cm in size; 6×40 cm; 10x20 cm. Place the extra piece of fabric on the 90x50 cm rectangle.
- Sew these 2 pieces and iron the seam.
- Pin on, then sew on a ribbon to decorate the piece.
- Make straps from small pieces of fabric - fold them in half, sew along the long side, and then turn them inside out. Attach rings to the straps.
- Fold a 7.5 x 60 cm section in half and sew, rounding the seam line. Sew the straps around the edges.
- Iron the edges of the main surface.
- Sew the edges with a securing stitch.
- Measure 20 cm from the edge and attach the finished strap to this place.
- Fasten the straps on 2 sides.
- Sew carefully.
- Fold the 6x40 cm decorative strip in half, iron and attach to the apron.
- Treat the other sections in the same way.
- Make a bow out of large pieces and fix it with a small piece.
- Trim the edges of the bow and attach to the apron.
- Add a stiff strip. Your apron is ready!
