While in previous years royal baby births have been covered live by the BBC from outside the Lindo Wing, this is unlikely to happen with Meghan Markle. Prince Harry, 34 and Meghan have made it clear that they wish to keep details around their royal baby’s birth under wraps until they are ready. Meghan, unlike previous royal mums-to-be, is unlikely to give birth at the Lindo Wing, which means the usual live coverage of royal births from outside the London hospital will probably not happen.

How to watch BBC News live coverage as Meghan Markle goes into labour?

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children were all born at St Mary’s Hospital’s Lindo Wing and the general public was made aware when Kate went into labour.

But a recent announcement from Meghan and Harry has prompted speculation we won’t hear about Meghan giving birth until after the royal baby has arrived.

A recent statement from House Sussex read: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby."

The statement continued:  “Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private.

“The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family. "

While BBC news traditionally has live TV coverage of the royal birth from outside the Lindo Wing.

There is mounting speculation that Meghan may have a home birth and the same TV news coverage may not be possible this time.

If you want to keep up to date with the latest royal baby news then you should keep an eye on Meghan and Harry’s Sussex Royal Instagram account.

The pair launched their Instagram at the start of April and while it’s so far been used to showcase their humanitarian work, many believe they may post the first pictures of the royal baby on there.

Twitter is another place to look for the latest royal baby news.

The Royal Family Twitter account could be the one to announce the news when Meghan goes into labour.

Traditionally The Queen is the first person to be told about the royal baby birth, so it’s likely the news could be announced via her Twitter account.

Princess Diana and Kate Middleton both posed on the steps of the Lindo Wing for official pictures with their newborns, soon after giving birth.

But it’s understood Meghan wishes to avoid the traditional media moment.

You can watch live BBC news coverage on the royal baby birth on BBC One or on the BBC news website as it happens.

Five-year-old Ryan, who fell into a well in Morocco, died

Rescuers and volunteers failed to save the life of five-year-old boy Ryan, who fell into a well in northern Morocco. A group of rescuers on Saturday evening came out of the tunnel dug by them with a child in her arms.

The boy's death was confirmed by King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

Even underground, when the rescuers only got to Ryan, he was examined by medical specialists. Deadly for him could be a long stay under the ground or a head injury.

The rescue operation, which was complicated by the danger of soil erosion and many boulders in the way of the diggers, lasted several days. On Friday evening, a team of rescuers and volunteers said that she had three meters left to walk, on Saturday afternoon there were less than a meter left.

Doubts about whether the child was alive accompanied the whole operation. Hours before the rescue, an oxygen mask, food and water were lowered into the well, but it is not clear if Ryan was able to use them.

On Saturday evening, local television showed footage showing rescuers carrying a child wrapped in a yellow blanket out of the tunnel they had dug.

Shortly before this, the head of the rescue team, Abdelhadi Tamrani, said that it was not clear from the footage of the cameras lowered into the well what condition five-year-old Ryan was in - he was simply lying on his side. "Hopefully we get him alive," Tamrani said.

The operation to rescue the boy was broadcast live. The whole country followed her.

To get to the boy, rescuers dug a tunnel parallel to the well and then drilled a three-meter jumper. The operation continued from Tuesday evening. "We are almost there," Abdesalam Makudi, one of the leaders of the operation, said on Friday afternoon. "We have been working non-stop for three days, and fatigue is taking its toll, but the entire rescue team is holding on."

The parallel tunnel had to be dug because the well into which the child fell is very narrow, and at a depth of 28 meters, where he got stuck, narrows even more. Due to the fact that the soil in the area is rocky and sandy, the rescuers did not dare to expand the hole in the well.

Pipes made of metal and aluminum were laid in a tunnel dug parallel to the well to pull the boy out.

The whole country was watching the rescue operation. According to the rescuers, on Thursday they managed to lower oxygen and water to the bottom of the well with a rope.

"I was able to talk to the child, I asked if he could hear me. He answered. I waited about a minute and saw that he had taken oxygen," Red Cross and Crescent volunteer Imad Fahmy told local media.

The rescuers also lowered a camera to the bottom to keep an eye on the boy. Despite the fall from a great height, the video footage showed that the boy was conscious, but he was noted to have head injuries.

Thousands of people expressed their support for the boy on social media: the hashtag #SaveRayan is at the top of Twitter trends in Morocco.
