The Sage has some difficulty with fibrous foods such as kale and spinach, but most of the food processors we evaluated struggled to create pleasant purees of these foods. It also works with peaches with large pits and pea and blueberry skins.

Despite these obstacles, it could puree some chicken, whereas its competitors could only shred it. In addition, the consistency of most foods is suitable for a baby’s first foods, and you can save the leftovers for when your baby has mastered smooth purees.


The Sage received the highest rating for ease of cleaning. This metric considers the number of parts and time necessary for thorough cleaning.

The Sage has components that are dishwasher-safe and components that must be hand-washed. However, if you are in a hurry, the food processor bowl and blade can be placed in the dishwasher, while the immersion blender rod and food processor top must be washed by hand.

Bake at medium level for 20-25 minutes, then remove from the oven and leave to cool directly in the mold. Then turn the form over, divide the pastry into separate buns.

Pumpkin and chard lasagna with béchamel sauce with sage

1 head of red onion

3 carrots

100 g of royal brown champignons or seasonal mushrooms

Cut the pumpkin in half, remove the seeds and cut the flesh into 1 cm cubes. Peel the onions and carrots and cut into small cubes. Finely chop the mushrooms. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan, sauté the onion over low heat. Add vegetables and mushrooms and fry. Pour in white wine, add vegetable broth, season with salt and bring to a boil. Simmer for about 30 minutes over low heat, then remove from the stove and leave to cool.

Cut the chard into strips and simmer in another pan with a little water. Peel the garlic, squeeze through a press and add to the chard. Season with a pinch of salt. For the sauce, drain the water from the cashews, add 300 ml of fresh water, salt and sage leaves and beat in a blender until a creamy consistency. Then add yeast flakes.

Preheat the oven to 180 °C (top/bottom heat). Grease a baking dish (20 x 30 cm) with a little olive oil. Add two-thirds of the bechamel sauce to the chilled pumpkin puree, season with salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste. Then lay out the pumpkin mass, chard and lasagna sheets in layers in the form, cover with a layer of pumpkin. Spread the remaining sauce over the lasagna, put fresh sage leaves on top. Bake for about 30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

How do you make a cashew drink?

For 1 liter of 150 g raw cashew nuts (without skin), pour enough water in a bowl and let them swell for 2 hours, or better to leave overnight. Throw the nuts into a sieve, pour out the remaining water after them. Add cashews to the blender bowl, pour in 750 ml of fresh water and beat in puree at maximum speed.
